2024-01-20 04:26:16 +0000 UTCYou can try taking it up to 40mph and braking fairly hard down to about 5mph, a half dozen times to "bed in" the brakes. Then drive around a little to let them cool down. That might help the squeak.

Thank God everything was covered under the Ram warranty, or it would have cost me over $5,000. You should be good to go for a long time, as I still think they are the best trucks to own in terms of longevity and dependability. My newer one is an eco diesel, and oil changes are over $200 though. Diesel is almost $6 here in CA. It’s fucking insane. I don’t know how people can afford to drive to work now. If I didn’t work from home, I probably could not afford to own or maintain my vehicles.

2024-01-19 17:01:14 +0000 UTCSorry to hear about the car trouble but glad it got sorted! Owning a car has not just gotten expensive in the US, it's gotten expensive everywhere. I bought a pre-owned Outlander PHEV a couple of years ago because the tax for owning an EV or PHEV is subsidized here in Sweden, but it's still expensive to do the standard services and maintenance.
