As you know, I've been practicing and writing about improvising counterpoint at the piano. After creating and practicing exercises for so long, I find writing formal arrangements is the next step to internalizing these relationships. The goal isn't necessarily to play it like this every time, but to use them as starting places for improvisation.
I did something similar for another bebop tune called Quasimodo. I have ideas for a bunch more, so expect to see them in the coming months!
