Tl:dr – PicoChill Vol.1 releasing soon, switching gears to jazz piano projects!
First, Levi levelled up over the weekend! His first grooming:

PicoChill Vol. 1
After writing a TON of Pico-8 music over the last couple months, I’ll be ready to release PicoChill Vol. 1 very soon. I’ve written about 45mins for this album. I wanted to write more, but I'm burnt out and am ready to move on. So, I’m calling this “Vol. 1” in the hopes there will be more ambient/lo-fi inspired Pico-8 music down the road.
CozyTunes Released!
Need music for a Pico-8 game? I added a whole new cart of tunes here for $5+ Patrons. These are for you to use, remix, learn, etc. CozyTunes is a cart of nine tunes with a variety of styles. They’re “cozy” because they mostly use the less harsh sounding instruments, and they all use one set of custom instruments. This cart features the use of the detune filter + INST 0, so even though they’re all limited to 2-channels, you can expect to hear much more harmony. Listen to all the music here.
Jazz Piano Projects
With Bebop Isolation complete, I’d like to start writing/producing original solo piano music. Next up on my to-do list though is to release some Thelonious Monk transcriptions. Years ago, I transcribed Alone in San Francisco, a solo piano record released in 1959. It’s all hand written though, so I’ll be inputting this all into Finale, similar to what I did with my Bud Powell and Fred Hersch transcriptions.
I’ve also been collaborating with vocalist Nicky Schrire on a words + music project. Listen to a WIP here. I wrote music to Nicky speaking an email she wrote to a nasty stage manager. It’s pretty funny. We’re not sure where this project is going yet (live performance, recording production etc.), but we’re really excited about it.
New Gear!
Probably the LEAST exciting thing if you’re reading this, but last week was spent upgrading my studio. I’m getting rid of a lot of gear, and replacing it with this Tascam audio interface. With this, I’ve been able to tidy up my studio, consolidate a lot of gear, and hopefully, eventually, I’ll be expanding my recording/production capabilities to include recording other musicians. I DO hope to start streaming/performing again, but am still thinking about how to integrate that into my current work.

That’s it for now. Thanks for reading. Always happy to hear from you. Share what you’re working on, say hello!
All the best,
