And what's great about it is that when you rewatch you'll see a bunch of clues and you'll be like 'Ohhhhh now I see them' lol Even the surnames...Pond and River...how do we not connect these! lol Interesting facts about the secrecy behind the reveal: ''Moffat kept the River Song identity a top secret, even from lead actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill. The script read at the read-through had a false ending, and only a select few were issued the real script. Moffat informed actor Alex Kingston of the secrets of her character at the end of the previous series and she was not allowed to tell anyone.''
