I have to stop the video multiple times so I don't miss anything while I'm regaining my composure. Plus, Frank when you look into the camera it only adds to the delight seeing your reactions.

Colin Robinson's the only one who knows how to use a phone or computer or anything so he handles their finances, Guillermo doesn't have any money and doesn't get paid they just tell him they'll make him a vampire someday.

Did not expect it to be so amusing and downright hilarious and absurd at times. ๐ Definitely a mock-umentary as it describes some in-depth technicalities of the vampire-universe that I never knew before. Enjoying these vampire roommates and their unconventional, and often gory ways, of expressing love and care towards each other. Should be a fun ride!

The story has some of the same elements, but it's also different so when you do watch it, it isn't like watching the same story again. I won't lie, I was hoping for the movie first only because the creators/writers (Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement) both also star in the film...so its nice to give them the first look since it's their brain baby. I mean to say, the idea for this mocumentary about vampires living mundane lives (kinda) in modern times is the same in both media. Plus the film, since it's feature length, gets rolling a bit faster (out of necessity). So even though the characters are different etc., if you see the film first, you sort of get a feel for the humor and the show feels familiar right away. But it doesn't matter really what order/when you see the film -- I just hope we get to watch it with you! I just saw a list of the best movies for Halloween (by a respectable publication...can't remember which) and What We Do in the Shadows (the movie) was ranked in the top five on a very long list. Both Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi are from New Zealand (I believe each has a parent who is Maori) so the film is set in New Zealand instead of Statten Island and they deliver their deadpan New Zealand humor brilliantly. In any order, both WWDITS are great tho! Thank you again for watching WWDITS in the spooky month of October!! ๐ป
