First of all: I liked Vexx and the romance with him before, but now he has become my absolute favorite. I love how the backstory of him and MC slowly connects to reality. I find the pacing of their development extremely good. Both their longing for each other and the deep struggle feels authentic. I didn't expect that and I think it's wonderful. Furthermore, the processing of Vexx's memories is much better than before and also very creative. Others may think otherwise but I, personally, think that the possibility to relive his thoughts is important to understand him and what happened after better. Even if it's a cruel thing to see. I'd do it if I was in MCs shoes. The political debate about possible solutions for the system was interesting. Everyone involved had understandable arguments and seemed authentic in their role [I was very surprised and impressed by Damon's foresight]. Oh and I absolutely LOVE the dynamics between Damon and Alisa [and Zane]. It's so funny! All in all I'm really satisfied with the development of the new chapter and characters so far and I'm extremely excited to see how it goes on. Much love ❤️

2023-06-03 06:31:25 +0000 UTCThis is probably a continuation to the most traumatic thing to happen to either Traveler or Vexx, and he presents it like it was a memory of that movie he saw once and the MC barely responds to it at all. I am not sure the lead up lets them know exactly what they are in for when they load up that memory. Hell if he wanted to show them a memory to prove a point on his feelings it could be that time at the zoo, it could be any number of things but he chose this one so the MC watched their family fighting for their lives defending their loved ones, dead and bloody on the floor. Even if they hated them, that is a horrible experience to live and then to live it with Vexx's conflict that is PTSD inducing nightmare fuel. I might suggest framing it as a story he is telling instead? Making it more clear that this is what you are in for and allowing the player to respond to it and stop it if they can't handle it as the story progresses. There was a previous point in the game where you ask the player how they felt when they discovered Vexx again, are they aloof, emotional or strong? That may be a good way to frame a response post story here too. Because they just watched a horror show and they just kind of shrug and ask Vexx to affirm his feelings on their relationship and it broke my brain.
