Progress report 6

Hi hi, time for another le reporto!

Last few weeks were better irl wise, our family heath is "good" and we are working on some testing, myself included. Today has also been extremely hot without AC, so what better day to use for writing a progress report and not waste time 😂And speaking of living conditions, there is a big possibility I'll be moving out next month!
I'll let everyone know a bit more about that when the time comes (as it's naturally gonna take a bit time to move in), but in long term (if all goes to plan) I'll be extremely happy as once I get all things there, I'll be able to work much better and faster on my own in my own peace. This is a big deal, so lets see how it goes.

On working side, was a few solid weeks. Finished many of the Ep1 areas left in last progress report, and finally got all my clothing mods fixed and delivered. If today wasnt a huge heatwave, I'd have most likely finished Raiko's section today, but alas, a few tens of renders left for her and one animation. 2100 total renders done so far.
That aside, from Episode 1 content perspective, now almost everything is done. Audio is fully complete since last time, proofreading will be done soon and few from my team will get to test an alpha version to see how new Episode 1 flows and give me feedback. I'll also be looking in some GUI areas and hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to announce some changes/makeover for that area. Very excited for that as I've always done it myself so far 😎

What after Ep1 content? Well, Episode 2, of course. Episode 2 will be both harder and easier than Ep1 rework. On one hand, many of the maps are already made/saved up so I wont need a full month comissioning, testing and setting up new maps. On another, Ep2 will have more changes to the flow than Ep1, and a few completely new sections/encounters. I'll do my best to both keep the old best moments while also giving a bit more space and visibility to Eiko, Levy and Valentina.

But overall, I am extremely excited so far with the looks and work done, and it's night and day difference already to old plotholes and flow of ep1. I did a few quick runs in Renpy of current Ep1, and I am finally happy with what I have ingame. And I'll continue pushing myself even more to deliver an amazing ep4.5 version and continue investing in good additions to the game.

P.s. Rushing the renders + proofreading for alpha test hence Serena Wallpaper delayed, will do as soon as I have a working alpha version for my team!
