Q&A - Why I don't do sets with professional photographers

I feel this is a serious argument I have to face if I want to aspire to improve 💕

I've always had anxiety problems and a terrible self-perception. Even though I have finished my "health journey" I still have low self-esteem and sometimes feel uncomfortable in my own skin.
I fear the idea of asking a photographer to take my picture. Even though I know they professionally edit and clean up images, I'm scared that when they send me the final photos, I'll feel the need to completely modify them to match what I have in my head.
The thought of posing for pictures makes me anxious—I don't know what to do with my hands or body. I feel so uncomfortable. Taking the picture itself feels like a "war" to me, as I'll focus on what I see as flaws, like my eye being too closed or my teeth being too out.
I've realized that any photo I have, I've already edited the facial features or body parts like shoulders, arms, even my height one time. I know I have a lot to work through, and I'm trying to overcome this insecurity slowly.
