I might be late to the party—but I gotta say, amazing reaction, Cassie and Carly! What a damn good movie. Out of all of them, War is my favorite, with Kingdom right behind it. But honestly, I love all four—Rise, Dawn, War, and Kingdom. This reboot series just hits different. The CGI? Unreal. The writing, acting, storytelling, cinematography—it's all top-notch. This is exactly why I connect with the reboot series way more than the originals. And yeah, it blows Tim Burton's 2001 version out of the water. Andy Serkis as Caesar? Phenomenal. That man became Caesar. He deserves an Oscar, a Grammy, heck—whatever award they can give him. He carried so much emotion and power in that role. Just incredible. Koba as the villain? Loved it. He's such a great antagonist because you get why he's angry. He was tortured, abused—he had every reason to hate humans. I sympathize with that. But turning on Caesar? Starting a war when Caesar wanted peace? That’s where he lost me. His rage destroyed him, and honestly, that tragedy made his arc so powerful. Also, shoutout to Kirk Acevedo as Carver—what a cowardly jerk. He played the "idiot human" role perfectly. Lol. And Maurice! God, I love that orangutan. Loyal, wise, soft-spoken but strong—he's right up there with Caesar as one of my favorite apes. Anyway, I'm just about to watch your War reaction next, and I can't wait. 2025-05-05 23:41:10 +0000 UTCThis one reference the last movie of the original ape movies,."Battle for the Planet of the Apes" which gave Ape law "Ape Shall Not Kill Ape" In that movie Caesar is opposed by an aggressive gorilla general named Aldo, (just like Koba) who wants to imprison the humans who freely roam Ape City while doing menial labor. that one has a happy ending hahahaha
