2025-06-02 06:30:41 +0000 UTCI haven't played the game but every time I watch a scene from the show compared to the scene from the game, the show version is like a thousand times better to me. Also, when reactors talk about the changes the show made compared to the game, I can't imagine the story not having the changes the show made in them. Pedro and Bella are way more likable to me as well. I think people just prefer whichever version they have seen/played first. Which is totally understandable. I for one am soooo glad that I am not missing out on how great this show is because of my preconceived expectations of what the show should be based on the source material. Same goes for movies that I love where people can't stop talking about how the book version is better.

I recently had a line from GOT tattooed on my back the Stark Banner of the Wolf hangs on our bedroom door. I have a framed poster of GOT Winter Is Coming that hangs in our living room. However there are episodes of GOT that we can't sit through 3 come to mine. We respect your courage for doing it. But if you thought the death in the The Last Of Us was bad. Except for one episode in the 5th season. Which was the worst 54 minutes in TV history. The rest had us on the edge of our seats.

2025-06-02 01:35:42 +0000 UTCSince The Last of Us is finished (for now, at least) another great series based on a video game is Fallout, directed by Jonathan Nolan, the brother of Christopher Nolan, and an unofficial sequel to Oppenheimer :D Unlike The Last of Us, it's not a direct adaptation of any of the games, but rather set within the same world, moving the timeline forward. All the characters, and the story was new to us Fallout fans, Which includes the up-incoming Season 2. Also, just a fun little Last of Us connection. Bella Ramsey, alongside Ashley Johnson (the voice actress for Ellie in the game), presented the award for Best Video Game Adaptation in 2024, which Fallout won. I believe The Last of Us Season 1 won it a year earlier. But since you're diving into a massive show like Game of Thrones, I doubt you'll have much room for other series right now. Still, all these amazing shows will be here whenever you're ready. Game of Thrones is 14 years old and has aged extremely well. Fallout just released last April.
