Ello Poppers!
Hope you had a good weekend! We spent some time at a reservoir, kids got swimmer's itch and sunburns, love summer ;) I kind of feel like were stuck in the in-between right now-not enough summer left to do a trip or anything, too soon for back to school supplies? Making the most of sleeping in, walks at night after the sun goes down and absolutely zero time to myself;)
This week we have MAD MAX: HIGHWAY TO THE THUNDERDOME ;) We did a watch-along on our monthly extra butter live last night and it was so fun, and even more bizzare-o than the usual wasteland shenanigans. We will also have our Spielberg Poll winner with Bridge of Spies and Bruce Lee's Story! Next week I will officially be starting the Thrones of the Game...dun dun duunnn. (wait do they have a theme song? Don't answer that) I wanted to say that I really am trying to stay away from ANY spoilers so no GoT talk on the update post or poll posts P&TY :)

Good point. The show is not about sex/nudity but about the characters and the GoT world. My advice to her is to give the show a chance to reach the rich character development and associated plot lines. The sex/nudity early in the series is a sideshow -- though I would argue not completely gratuitous but to help set a feel for the environment and some of the characters.

2025-08-03 11:18:44 +0000 UTCI'm looking forward to GoT a lot, however, the first two or so seasons are going to be a bit..... awkward. Just know Cassie, and I hope other people have mentioned this to you as well, the truly gratuitous nudity and sexual stuff definitely fades by the end of Season Two. It's a bit of a slog because there are just some truly unnecessary scenes with that sort of stuff, but it does end almost entirely by Season Three.
