I have seen this show countless times at this point. But one thing that I think people seldom comment on is that Sophie Turner (Sansa) is an incredible actress and even as a young girl we see it shining through in this episode. It's raw but her reaction to Lady gives us a glimpse into the powerhouse she will be in later seasons.

ok

I don't know why I can't go full screen on some of these reactions anymore

The one non-spoilery thing I start my more tenderhearted friends off with when they begin this series is this: Eventually - eventually - everybody gets what's coming to them.

Story Archer

"my repulsive nephew" She seemed to get a chuckle out of that. I liked it too. She likes Tyrion.

I’ve been a fan of your publicly available reactions for some time now. But now that you’re doing GoT, I have to see the full reactions. Looking forwarding watching you watch the whole series 😁

Darrin Hicks

Try avoid looking up anything, you can very easily now get spoiled for future things as you posting these to YT. For your best enjoyment just keep watching and let the story tell you. Only thing I would advice is try to keep in your mind this is closer to medieval England/Europe style of culture and it has nothing to do how we behave nowadays. One of the best TV and Book stories out there.

To quote Kosh from Babylon 5: "...And so it begins..."

Stellar TV

I'm really arguing with myself atm. On the one side I'd like to see the reactions, but on the other I'm unsure if I want to do it to myself again. Don't get me wrong, even if I joined the bandwagon rather late, somewhere after season 4 was new, I started at the beginning and binged it through to the end of said season within two weeks. But even for me, veteran of a plethora of weird and heavy cinematic stuff I am, there were moments where I went — uff, do I really want to see it? But in the end, I think my sado-maso tendencies will win in the end.

Christian Becker

I would like to see at the end of the seasons, you give us your fav characters and least fav, and most importantly just enjoy the show.

George Martin is a great writer, and also the reason I am not published myself. Many years ago I wrote a novel called The Black Forest - it's about a prince who blah blah blah. Anyway, I wrote it for fun and put it away. 10 years later, I revisited it and padded out the story somewhat. (It was too superficial before, with no back story.) Then I put it away again. During Covid, I decided to make a concerted effort to do a full rewrite, revamp and try and get it published, because I actually thought it was pretty good. The mistake I made, halfway through my rewrite, was to start listening to Game of Thrones on audiotape for inspiration. That pretty much did for my plans to get my book published because the writing in Thrones is so good, it made mine look like second-grader waffle. So thank you, George Martin, for the wonder that is Game of Thrones and for destroying my dreams. Though I still say your best work was with The Beatles.

I agree, millions of people watched it the first time through without needing maps or family trees, just enjoy the ride!

Mark T

Cassie. Don't do anything but watch the episodes. Don't look anything up. Don't worry about maps. Don't worry about looking up family trees. Just watch. :) kthanksbye.

I haven't had HBO in years, but I signed back up a few minutes ago just so I can watch Cassie's reaction to the series. This is going to be great!

Matt Wathen

Some very cool things happen in GOT; there are also some disturbingly violent scenes. It will be interesting to see Cassie's reactions.

Something has occurred to me. In 1962, Cassius Clay said this: "I don't want no parts of Sonny Liston. He's a rough old boy and I ain't messin' with him." 18 months later he was on Liston's front lawn at 1am with a bear collar telling him to get his ugly ass out here! Cassie's journey to Game of Thrones has been similar.

Clarence Newman

Holy shit, I was following since 3k followers and remember recommending this and thinking she would never go for it! Looks like im subbed for the next year!!!

Alexander Oceann

Hang in there Cass! This show will change your life. I wish I could be watching it with you for the first time again. This is the next best thing though.

Kit Taylor

Even after all these years, the credits intro with the rousing yet haunting theme, and the clockwork map, still gets me. I love the fact that you immediately wanted to watch Episode 3 but are somehow hanging on to the Cliff of Not-Binging. We were all there, Cassie. Something about this show, particularly in the early seasons, just has the ability to make the viewer think "just one more episode!" at 2 AM. I also got a kick out of your "oh, no!" reaction to Kit Harrington's Jon getting a forced haircut. A girl that I worked with, who was equally into the show back in the day, had EXACTLY the same reaction. I also had the misfortune to be taking a drink when you broke out the nickname "Bran Muffin" for the first time and may have choked a bit.

Vak

She's hooked. Lot of us knew she would be. Somehow or someway we need to get Carly up to speed and join in. That would be the EPIC reaction of reactions. The nudity dies down a bit after season 2. There is still some, but it does taper off. I read the first three books and the first book was very PG 13. But HBO added the b**bs and sex to get people ( young boys) hooked on the show.

Bill Maurer

Fantastic reaction, so excited to see you so immersed already, it only gets better from here

Just so you get a deeper understanding of the events from b4 the shows starting point. The king prior to king Robert was king Aerys ll targaryen. He had 2 living children at the time Prince rhaegar and prince viserys (daenaerys's brothers). He was giving the nickname the mad king bc he loved to burn his enemies with wildfire and was extremely paranoid. Jaime lannister the queens brother she was doing the nasty with, was a member of his kings guard sworn to protect him along with 6 others. Ned and Robert were both wards to job Aryn who would become Robert's hand who passed away. He practically raised them. Catlyn was engaged to Ned's older brother Brandon, and Ned's sister lyanna was engaged to Robert. There was a tourney at a place called harenhall. Prince rhaegar while at this tourney met Ned's sister lyanna and after the tourney they both came up gone. Ned's brother Brandon who was on his way to marry catelyn went down to kings landing in a rage to get lyanna back where he was imprisoned. The mad king then send a raven to Ned's father to come to kings landing and he did. The mad king proceeded to kill them both and called for the heads of both ned and Robert. Jon arryn instead of complying protected them, and the 3 of them rallied an army and intermarrying (jon arryn to catelyns sister, ned to catelyn) and overthrew the targaryens. Prince rhaegar falling in battle to Robert on the trident and the mad king eventually killed by Jaime lannister forever giving him the nickname king slayer. As kings landing fell queen rhaella who was heavily pregnant with daenaerys (married to Aerys her brother bc tsrgargens intermarried its what the did bleck) and viserys fled to their family castle of dragonstone where daenaerys would be born while she died in childbirth. Viserys and daenaerys then had to flee drsgonstone as Robert's brother took the castle and have lived on the run ever since
