I actually thought what Naruto said about not being able to beat Sasuke like he beat Pain made perfect sense? Because yeah sure he destroyed most of the Pains with force, but in the end, he made *Nagato* stop with his words. With showing Nagato that they wanted the same thing—to make the world better and stop fighting—and that Nagato just had to trust that Naruto could do it. THAT is what Naruto was saying wouldn’t work with Sasuke. He knows Sasuke is gone too far to be appealed to like that.

2025-10-04 01:54:42 +0000 UTCThe thing that makes me sad is that Sakura committing to be the one to kill Sasuke isn’t even a bad idea, and neither is her trying to deceive Naruto to spare his feelings. Both actions could have been REALLY good twists in the story and really rocked the foundation of Team 7’s dynamic, except that the buildup that should have led to both was SO completely lacking. It’s like the writers never even attempt to make a plan for Sakura and just remember at the last minute every single week “shit, we gotta do something with her. What’s gonna shock the fans?” Like it’s so sad seeing those brief moments where she’s actually cool and works hard and shares useful skills and realize all that potential is wasted because the writer’s….don’t like their own character. What’s the point of that?

He got already mentioned multiple times by now, as the father of all Shinobi and creator of the original Ninjutsu. What would scare Madara more than a divine being like that? There really is A LOT of room for speculation about this.
