Message to my patrons

I’m not going to give you the “angry” response you are looking for as I’m a big believer that everyone has a right to express an opinion. That said, I find it shameful that in expressing that opinion you feel qualified to pass judgment on a person’s feeling of self worth and achievement without an iota of understanding as to their personal journey.. You describe Lani as “arrogant” and yet apparently feel no sense of irony in demanding that she should heed YOUR words and behave in the way YOU tell her. You suggest she should be “humble” I assume you mean she needs to be humble in your presence with you being superior? Hmm, tell me again who’s arrogant? But the main reason I am responding is your central premise that somehow Lani is orchestrating a “scam”. That beggars belief!! Is there really anyone out there who would join this Patreon not knowing what to expect? Surely the vast majority come from Neon Dark Discord or from Lani’s social media where the content is widely previewed, they enjoy what she does and wish to see more/support her. Failing that, a quick read through the tier description or “about” tab on the Patreon would give a pretty good clue as to what to expect!! Where exactly is the “dishonesty” and “deception” you describe? Were you expecting financial advice? Recipes? Buffy Box Sets? Sorry I’m struggling to take it seriously. You suggest it’s a quantity issue and that Netflix has more content for less money. I gotta break it to you, the reason I and others would expect to pay a little more is that we’re here for very niche entertainment that we won’t get anywhere else and provided by a hard grafting individual who is not supported by major corporations or the volumes of interest from a mainstream audience. And yeah, we’re happy to put Lani on a pedestal as the provider of that entertainment. I don’t think Lani or her followers think we’re solving the world’s problems here, we’re simply having fun with the niche, kinky creativity. Anyone putting down $30 to join for the first time would have over 2 years of content to review!! Now if they manage to get through all that in a month and decide they don’t like it, or that the on-going monthly fee would exceed their valuation of the content they can leave. I repeat, how is that possibly a scam?!! Everyone is entitled to an opinion on the price of something and they might consider it too expensive but that’s not a scam, that’s not dishonesty. To use your theme park water analogy, If you paid $10 for a bottle of mineral water you’ve been excessively charged but if you paid $10 and it was pond water you’ve been scammed. Lani’s “water” is correctly labelled and we get what we pay for (and more IMHO) once we’ve judged whether we wish to pay the price. Simple as. Oh, and for the record, over the years I’ve offered many a critique to Lani’s work . Now I’m not sure if she’s always agreed with it or been happy with it but I am 100% sure she’s always appreciated it and NEVER dismissed it. Enjoy Netflix.

TRANSLATION: I'm speaking directly to you, Cassie. I am not surprised that you made my private comment public. It's so you. Patreon keeps it private and anonymous for a reason, but then again, they are professional. Netflix, Amazon Prime, and even the Neon Dark page all cost $15 a month; you charge $30 a month to access everything. You are the equivalent of an amusement park that overcharges for bottled water. Your page is not worth DOUBLE any of those sites; not in quality OR volume of content. This is why I called it a scam. A dishonest scheme; a deceptive act or operation. The rapid decrease in your patron count suggests others agree. Criticism can only be seen as constructive if the one receiving feedback is open to growth. Your content is derivative and unoriginal, which perhaps explains why you chose to insult me rather than heed my words. There are a plethora of simple editing mistakes in every video and yet you claim to have an influence and a reputation to uphold. You are a novice at editing, and that is ok, but you should be humble and eager to learn, not arrogant and dismissive. "Honest feedback is what as pushed me to where I am today." Your work appeals to 50-60 people. Humility is key. I anticipate an angry response, more insults, a ban, and your most loyal few followers to be outraged. This is fine, but please keep in mind, Miss R, that they only linger because you're willing to degrade and demean yourself for their amusement. When you stop giving them what they want, you will topple from the ridiculous, fake pedestal they have temporarily propped you up on. That isn't your fault, of course, but by making my private comment public you chose to call them to your defense because you couldn't deal with the criticism alone. Or was it to gauge whether or not what I said was true? ;) Don't worry, you won't remember or lose sleep over my words if they have no merit. Let me add my two cents worth here. From the other side of the earth it is clear that you Lani are hard working, dedicated, talented, wicked hot and intelligent! So please do not let some fool with a baseless insult get under your skin. You are loved from afar! There should be a little red heart here, if only I knew how.
