Biokinetic - Chapter 8
Added 2023-05-22 20:08:47 +0000 UTCKenichi listened to the history of One For All as if he wasn't aware of it from the beginning. Still, it was nifty to be right across from All Might as he told the story and ended it by lifting up his hand and displaying an aurora of colors. The room was silent for a bit as Kenichi 'digested' the information he'd been given. Before Kenichi could say anything, Izuku broke the silence, “U-um was what you said true? C-can you really heal All Might?”
Kenichi glanced at Izuku and nodded, “Easily. I can heal you as well.”
That caused some surprise, “R-really?”
Kenichi just nodded, “It's a minor ability of my Quirk. I can modify the genetics of anyone I touch. It's not as good as my personal modifications, which I can do instantly, but I can make changes to other peoples genetic structure. Think of it like a retrovirus or something similar, I induce the change but it will take months for the effects to appear fully. For example, if I tried to change your hair color it would take time for the change to sweep through your system. Once it finished the new hair color would begin to appear from your roots. So, rough guess? Changing your hair color would take something like six moths before you had enough to cut off the remaining green to show just the new.”
That set Izuku off into a muttering spree as he analyzed Kenichi's Quirk using all the information he'd gotten. Kenichi didn't mind. Kenichi wasn't exactly secretive about his Quirk, it would be hard to keep secrets from his classmates. Still, his involuntary outburst annoyed him. He'd just never expect One For All to feel so vile. On the flip side, he now had the information on every last Quirk contained within it and IT WAS GLORIOUS!
Three of the Quirks within One For All were perfect for how he'd built himself up so far, Gearshift, Fa Jin, and Float. However, it was the Stockpiling Quirk that really gave him what he needed to move from 'very powerful' to 'stronger than All Might and Izuku in their primes combined.' The Stockpiling Quick took life energy to build up its power, Kenichi could produce huge amounts of life energy with no detriment to himself. He could force feed the Quirk more life energy in a year than all the lifetimes of its previous users combined. Once he got home he'd get to work on that. Though, even with his abilities it would take time to build up the power stores to something really significant. The sooner he started, the better.
He was broken out of his throughts by Izuku gasping and looking at Kenichi with shock and a bit of trepidation, “You can copy Quirks! You can read peoples genetics with a touch and even reproduce their cells with your own body to heal them! You can even modify your own genetics as you see fit so you could, theoretically, touch someone and reproduce the genetic sequences necessary to copy their Quirk!”
Kenichi grinned and nodded, “Easily.” Before anyone could get up in arms he continued, “There's a limit to how much power any one person can handle though. It's known as Quirk Singularity. There's not much known about what happens to someone who passes the limit, but I know the limit exists. When I first realized my Quirk could go farther than the original shapeshifting, I went a little crazy. I though I could have all the Quirks I wanted! Who wouldn't go a little power hungry?”
His words drew looks of concern from both Nezu and All Might, but they said nothing since it appeared that Kenichi had gotten over his brief bought of greed. Kenichi continued, “I eventually reached a point where my whole body began to hurt. I was constantly fighting to keep my DNA from unraveling into something else. The pain and pressure only decreased when I removed a Quirk. So, I removed most of them and had to think of something different.”
He looked between All Might and Nezu, “I don't know how aware you are of it, but every Quirk does more than just the surface appearance. For example, anyone with any form of Super Strength has to have corresponding traits that improve everything about their body. After all, if you can lift ten tons but have the leg bones of a normal person, you'd shatter your legs before you could even lift the weight! Imagine if someone like Death Arms caught a piece of falling debris only for his legs to shatter as the weight crushes everything but his super strong arms.”
Kenichi lifted his hand and flexed his arm causing his muscles to bulge and show off their definition, “So, I took those secondary traits and started splicing similar ones together to increase their effectiveness. Doing this gives my base body all the strength, speed, and durability of someone with related Quirks, without actually having said Quirks. This gives me the flexibility to pull out whatever Quirk a situation calls for in the same way my sister Momo can pull out the right tool for the situation.”
Izuku looked at Kenichi in awe for a bit before remembering something he said, “When we shook hands, you mention my Quirk looks like multiple quirks put together. What did you mean?”
Kenichi looked at Midoriya like he was stupid. Not because he thought he was, but because anyone who grew up with a Quirk knew you learned about it all your life. His own situation was unique but his life before waking up let him know that what he was doing was the appropriate response for someone without a ton of meta-knowledge, “I'd think it's obvious. One For All isn't just a single Quirk. Hell, you should know that just from the story All Might told! It's obvious that it was at least two Quirks, transfer and stockpile...”
He trailed off as it occurred to him that he'd just made himself even more dangerous and valuable. The Transfer Quirk meant he could transfer full copies of any Quirk he knew to anyone he wanted without the lag time of rewriting their DNA using his own Quirk. With his control of genetics he could grow a single hair with the genetics of whatever Quirk he wanted and pass it to whoever he wanted without losing his own Quirk in the process.
“Yaoyorozu-shonen?”
Kenichi shook his head, “Sorry, I just thought of something horrifying and I'm about to repress it. Anyway,” He focused back on Izuku, “Since you have the Quirk it should be glaringly obvious to you that it contains a total of eight Quirks. There's obviously the Transfer and Stockpiling, plus the Quirks of everyone that possessed One For All on top of their original Quirk.”
He stared blandly at Midoriya, “If you were using it properly you'd at least feel something about them I'm sure.” His eyes narrowed a bit, “But you're not! You're thinking of it like an on/off switch aren't you?! That's why you broke your finger throwing that stupid softball! It's a Quirk! It's ALWAYS on! Stop treating it like a Transformation type! It's always there, always on, and part of every centimeter of your body.”
Kenichi hated having to talk like he was working it out in real time, but he hoped that this would push Midoriya to get his Full Cowling sooner. Despite his gripes about pre-training Izuku, he had liked the character throughout the series. Even if he could be an oblivious idiot a lot and took way too long to be more than a crappier copy of All Might in green.
While Midoriya digested that tidbit of information, Kenichi turned to look at All Might, “Anyways, it seems we've gone fairly far afield. I'd like to get on with healing you and modifying Midoriya-san after I speak with Principal Nezu about Aizawa-sensei. You two should head down to Recovery Girl's office and have her prep a bed for All Might.”
Nezu looked up from sipping his tea at the mention of his name, but remained silent. He was actually slightly annoyed that Toshinori had used his office for all of this. Granted he wanted to be present, but he had work to do! And if Yaoyorozu-san wanted to discuss what he believed, he wanted to be on top of his game. Aizawa had dug himself a pretty deep hole and now it was up to him to save the lazy bum.
As All Might in his skinny form, which he prefered to be known as Toshinori Yagi in, along with Midoriya left the office, Nezu and Kenichi faced each other across Nezu's desk. Nezu was the first to speak, trying to head things off, “Aizawa has informed me of what happened during his so-called Quirk Apprehension Test. While I agree he did give your class a rather terrible impression, he is the only teacher available for your homeroom. All the other teachers have been assigned and none are free.”
Kenichi snorted, “That's a lie.” He thumbed at the door that All Might and Midoriya just exited, “All Might slash Toshinori Yagi is not assigned to a class as the Homeroom teacher.”
Nezu nodded, “True, but he is unable to...”
Kenichi cut him off, “He'll be available in a couple of hours, after I've healed him.”
Nezu held back a wince at that. He'd hoped that Kenichi wouldn't point that out but had expected it so pushed on, “While that is true, he lacks a crucial ability that Aizawa possesses that gives him the unique ability to teach such a volatile class.”
Kenichi snorted in derision, “Uh huh, his ability to nullify Quirks. I understand that could be necessary with such power houses located in 1-A.” As Nezu smiled he grinned back, “But his presence is only required during Quirk related classes, not at any other time. Unless you're going to claim Aizawa-sensei will be sitting in on allof our classes?”
Kenichi continued before Nezu could counter that argument, “And let's not forget the other way that Aizawa-sensei's failed apprehension test messed with the class. Thanks to his failures none of us had out scheduled meetings with the school councilor. I can easily point out four students in my class that I realized needed serious counseling after only knowing them for a few minutes. Possibly two who should have never been allowed into the school, let alone the hero classes. Then the fact that Aizawa-sensei lied to keep one of the two who should have never made it, especially one who clearly doesn't care about being a hero, and you can see why he has a negative reputation with the class.”
Nezu looked at Kenichi with slightly narrowed eyes, “Explain.”
Nezu had watched the video of the events, though not in real time as it would have taken too long. He'd skipped to the salient point and viewed that but hadn't watched every event. Kenichi shook his head, “Well, the one Aizawa-sensei saved was Minoru Mineta, the shortest boy in the class. Incidentally, he came in last simply due to his short stature being a hindrance in purely physical tests.”
Kenichi might hate the grape bastard, but he wasn't going to crap on him about his abilities when it was his attitude that he hated, “Considering his stature he did fairly well, but it was his attitude that should instantly disqualify him as a hero. He's not here to become a hero at all. He's here to try and get laid, nothing more. From the very first moment I met him, he's spouted nothing but perversions and looked at the female students in a very disturbing manner. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he had a record for sexual harassment.”
Nezu shook his head, “We check the records of every student before admitting them. We would never admit a student with any sort of criminal record.”
Kenichi snorted, “And no school would possibly cover up for a student's indiscretions if they believed he could get into U.A.? But you just proved my point. I'm willing to bet that Hound Dog could have sniffed out Minoru-san's perversion within moments. All of the girls in class did within minutes of meeting him and all of them are uncomfortable in his presence. It's likely only a matter of time before he attempts to commit a crime against one, or more, of them.”
Nezu sighed, he couldn't argue with Kenichi as some schools did, in fact, hide and cover up the criminal tendencies of their promising students. The prestige of a student graduation from their school going on to graduate from U.A. was something they couldn't overlook. They hoped that their alumni would support their school after becoming a hero, as so many heroes had done previously. It was all just greed in the end. Still, all Nezu could say was, “You may be right. However, until he crosses a line there is little I can do.”
Kenichi sighed, but nodded in understanding. Aizawa might be a dick but Nezu was kind of by-the-books. Still, he was certain that one solid incident and Mineta would get the boot. Kenichi just smiled a little, “Still, we're off topic a bit again. We need a new homeroom teacher. Unless you can think of a way for Aizawa-sensei to earn back the trust of his students.”
Nezu just shook his head, “As entertaining as you thinking you have some say in the matter is, you don't. Aizawa will remain as your homeroom teacher.”
Kenichi just smiled broadly at Nezu, “Okay.”
With their conversation finished, Kenichi hopped to his feet, gave Nezu a polite bow, and left the office to make his way down to the clinic. Nezu might think it was over, but Kenichi knew it wasn't. Whatever Nezu might think, U.A. was a public school and, like all public schools, answered to a higher authority, the government. He would consult with the rest of his classmates and see how they all felt before proceeding with anything more. However, he didn't expect many were happy with their homeroom teacher, he certainly wasn't.
He knew Aizawa could do better, it just disgusted him to see how he treated his students on the first day. He wouldn't mind Aizawa remaining their teacher, after he learned his lesson. It honestly seemed like the entire school needed to be reminded that it was, in fact, a school and not the personal domain of the teachers and Nezu. Unfortunately, it appeared that the USJ event would be the first incident that he would be able to use for his plans.
He stopped thinking about such things as he arrived at the door to the clinic. He let himself in and smiled when he saw his two patients along with Recovery Girl. When she spotted him she nodded in approval, “Good. I've been trying to convince the big lug to let you heal him since you showed me what you could do. It's about time he finally listened!”
She sent All Might a quick glare, then focused back on Kenichi, “I will remain here to watch you carefully and keep an eye on Tonshinori-chan's vitals. You're obviously not a qualified doctor so I have to remain on hand.”
Kenichi just nodded and accepted what Recovery Girl said, “Perfectly reasonable.”
He turned to look at Yagi Toshinori and Midoriya Izuku both laying down on beds and hooked to various monitoring devices, “I'll start with All Might. Midoriya's issue isn't nearly as dire. He's got a good thirty or so years still.”
Kenichi walked up to All Might and placed his hand on the exposed wound on his side. Recovery Girl had done the proper job of a professional and had him prepped perfectly. There was no light show or really visible sign of Kenichi getting to work. Though All Might did squirm a little as he flet his insides rearranging themselves and filling up with missing pieces. His radiant blue eyes locked onto Kenichi, “I can feel what's happening Yaoyorozu-shonen.”
Recovery Girl was keeping a close eye on the equipment monitoring All Might and nodding to herself. There were clear signs of discomfort, which was expected. She was, however, surprised to not see any indications of pain.
All Might grunted as blood began to leak like a waterfall from his mouth. Everyone ignored Midoriya panicking about it as Kenichi spoke, “Don't mind that, I'm just purging excess blood from your organs, intestines, and the empty cavities where your stomach and lung are regrowing.”
Kenichi was slowly regrowing the missing parts of All Might so he had the time to do a deep dive into his body and begin repairing other parts that weren't so severely damaged. A nearly fifty year old man who fought crime on a constant basis for most of his adult life had plenty of wear and tear on his body. Kenichi was repairing it all while he had the chance. At the same time he was working to make All Might's muscles stronger in the more traditional manner. While a genetic modification would take months, creating and healing microtears in his muscles to 'work them out' took no time at all. When he was done, All Might would be as ripped as he possibly could be in his skinny form. He would be peak strength Quirkless All Might.
At least until Kenichi had time to make and power a copy of the Stockpiling Quirk that he could give to All Might later.
It took nearly and hour of constant work, but when Kenichi stepped back from him, All Might looked like a new man. Gone was the gaunt skeletal appearance. Gone was any sign of the damage that had been done to his body. He even looked a couple of decade younger thanks to all the work Kenichi did to repair his body. His muscles bulged with power that they hadn't felt in years. Only his hair still looked kind of crappy and that was simply because it would take time to grow out and be replaced.
Everyone turned to look at Kenichi after they finished examining All Might's changed appearance. All Might gave Kenichi a penetrating stare with his practically glowing blue eyes, “Yaoyorozu-shonen... I don't know what to say to thank you.”
Kenichi just smirked, “Don't say anything yet. Give me a week or two and I'll have you back to the full power of your prime!”
Complete silence filled the room.

I might rewrite this chapter a bit before officially posting it. I'm not completely happy with it and think I need to rework it a bit. Any advice/criticism on that would be nice.
But yeah, he's fixed All Might, plans to give him a recreation of the Stockpiling Quirk (Preloaded with power), and will fix Midoriya. I think that's going to break the crap out of canon, what do you think?
Comments
Totally, but that just adds drama (The good kind) along with more plot for me to play with.

2023-05-22 22:23:51 +0000 UTCAlready broken Canon. Imagine AFO going bug-eyed when he sees a prime all might and pretty much 2 OFA users. Of course there's no way AFO won't find out about MC now and he'll want biokinesis. Class still has an unwilling spy, and AFO is smart enough to figure out which quirk fixed all might
