Patreon Changes! (Please read!)

Hi everyone! This has been a long time coming, but with just about a month left in the year, here are some changes to my Patreon that I feel is necessary as we move into 2025.

But first... let's talk about my current situation—most, if not all, of my income comes solely from Patreon subscriptions. My growth on here has also more-or-less remained stagnant this past year or two, and with how expensive things are and how old I am getting... this is something that will not sustain me in the future, and I have to start moving and looking into other things. This includes offering more commissions and YCHs, as well as selling merchandise. Maybe even stream my art more and make whatever I can from subs or donations?

As a lot of you know, Patreon art rewards are a huge part of my Patreon whether or not you like or agree with this statement. It's also something that has caused me so much stress and mental strain. Because of how things are right now, I have to make some changes to how I handle Patreon rewards.

I do want to remind everyone again that I've always envisioned Patreon rewards as a way for me to say thanks for the continued support to you all, especially if you're a long-time supporter. If you're just in it to get free art as much as you possibly can and for the shortest amount of time of being subscribed, and don't really care about anything else that I have to offer on here... I'll be honest, but that sorta upsets me, and even more-so, makes me quite disheartened.

I want to continue pushing my focus on my Patreon to other things outside of Patreon rewards like personal art, fanart, commissions/YCHs, fursuit content, and hopefully merch soon enough. I felt like I did pretty good with fanart this year, and I hope to continue doing that along with the other things I've mentioned.

Moving forward, I'll be restricting myself to 5 Patreon rewards a month; I may do 1 extra here or there, but that is it. I know, I'm a stubborn individual and have said this countless times before... but I really need to know when enough is enough; sticking with just 5 rewards a month, and not 9 or 12 even. Instead of doing 6 extra Patreon rewards for free, I'd like to start taking the time to do 6 commissions instead and so on.

That said—the following changes are shown below:

Patreon Rewards:

• New subscribers must be subscribed 2 months or older before they can submit a request for a Patreon reward.

• Cooldown after receiving a Patreon reward increased from 3 months to 6 months.

• Ability to reduce cooldown by a total of 2 months added. This is completely optional.

  • -1 month for uploading finished art to an active public site/art gallery with proper credit (FA, Twitter, or Bluesky).

  • -1 month from being a Gold Paw patron or higher.

General Patreon:

• Patreon switched to a traditional subscription model.

  • This means, new subscribers will be charged the same day of the month they sign up, and will continue to be charged on that same day each month. You no longer have to worry about being charged double or what day you sign up.

• Gold Paw patrons or higher can suggest up to 3 characters for the monthly fanart polls.

• Ability to commission any time added to Diamond Paw tier (Limited to 1 comm every 2 months).

  • Tier is limited to 10 slots.

  • Commissions must be no more than a shaded single character full-body. This means that headshots/busts, icons, badges, and full-body art are acceptable.

I've taken all the feedback I've gotten here, on Twitter, and from past discussions on our Discord server into consideration, and will be doing my best to provide everyone with an even better experience hopefully!
