Update- Got a weird health issue that's making drawing difficult rn
Added 2022-05-12 14:51:38 +0000 UTCTLDR at bottom- On the 6th I started experiencing pretty bad swelling and pain in my inner 2 fingers and thumbs. I can't straighten my fingers or make a fist, their grip strength and range of motion is really bad. It seemed strange strange because the swelling is identical on both hands and my ring and pinky fingers are fine.
I waited a couple of days but it didn't resolve. Went to a doctor, she thinks my immune system is responding weirdly to a spider that bit me 2 days prior. Swelling should go away within 2 weeks.
I can still draw it's just more difficult and slower than usual. I need to take frequent breaks to shake/stretch my hands or it gets worse. I'm also working on some time intensive commissions right now.
I had a couple of exit surveys from people who deleted their pledge because of the lack of art this month. In the absolute worst case scenario if I can't finish minimum 4 artworks I will pause payments. I will NOT charge anyone if I can't provide the art you signed up for. I don't want to be one of those artists that goes mia and continues charging people who get nothing in return. Just writing this for the sake of transparency, hopefully this gives some peace of mind. TLDR- Everything should be fine but if I can't finish 4+ pieces in May I will NOT charge anyone.
