Little WIP teaser of the next STL release...

So now it isn't a secret project anymore I thought I'd share some progress as we go...

The left is the 'Tribal' bannerpole, perfect for orcs, ogres etc. I really like the texture he got for the 'cut' wood at the tips - you can see it a lot more clearly in the STL :)

The middle is the 'industrial' version of the 'brutal' bannerpole - all iron and business. We added the stone bit at the bottom to enable us to fit the magnet holes...

And on the right is the gibbet. I really wanted to make these realistic scaled, a pet peeve of mine is oversized gibbets 'that fit minis!'.....except they dont. not anymore anyway 😂 gone are the days of the squat-pose fighter and simple pose rogue, practically everything has fancy bases and dynamic poses these days, so these 'features' don't even work anymore and all you get is a big, oversized, unrealistic looking, physics defying mess...

So we went with something more realistically scaled, remembering these are meant to be tight, uncomfortable places to put people! I also made sure there was a proper scale door...gibbets with no door is another pet peeve 😂 

The bottom is removable to make painting the inside much easier pre assembly, and the top will have a slit to glue real jewellery chain into, so it's plenty strong and doesn't need to oversized for durability!

I've been testing the 'medieval' cage today - it's designed with 1mm magnet holes so you can remove the roof and walls from the floor and leave the cage outline in place when you need to move creatures from inside it...

it also makes it a LOT easier to pick minis up that way around, AND means any obnoxiously posed minis can sit on the floor and show where the cage is, even if they don't fit :)

All the while, Faye has been helping me for half the day cutting foam for the video! And in a first for me, I'm using pink foam 😲....but it's UK pink foam, so its basically the grey foam but brightly coloured 😄

This is the stuff I was talking about yesterday. turns out its basically identical to the grey stuff except for colour. it's still more expensive than panelsystems stuff, but unlike most other places you can buy one sheet at a time, so if that's been holding you back and you're in the uk, check this stuff out!

I'm also still sending emails like a madman getting more stuff for you guys and yelling at patreon for breaking things that were working perfectly well before, thank you very much....Oh! and looking into another new type of UK foam, that might be grey but smooth like styrodur... we shall see.
