EXO 90:2014 – Episode 3 (with Shinhwa)

This week, EXO welcome true K-Pop royalty into the studio—none other than Shinhwa. It’s a meeting full of laughs, energy, and insightful stories, as the members hear directly from one of the longest-running groups in the industry.

There’s also plenty of banter, with Shinhwa more than happy to dish out a bit of cheeky wisdom while EXO try to hold their own. It’s another great chance to see how different generations of idols connect—and how much respect flows both ways.

As always, the episode rounds off with a remake of a legendary 90s MV, featuring one of the EXO members in the lead. It's full of attitude and retro charm, and another strong entry in what’s fast becoming a very fun series.

About Ten situations, Ten first debuted with NCT U in April 2016. A few months later SM launched NCT 127, but Ten wasn’t included (while all the members from The 7th Sense did join 127). In early 2017, Ten had to undergo knee surgery due to a dance-related injury. After that, he remained without a fixed unit for almost three years. During that time he dropped two solo songs, but the company barely promoted them, then he kind of disappeared. Honestly, he lost a lot of fans back then , many who followed him since SM Rookies either gave up waiting or moved on to other idols. He finally came back in 2019 as part of WayV, the China unit, but even then they couldn’t really promote properly because of China’s ban on K-pop at the time.

Under their own company right? Maybe one day that can be EXO 😂🙏🏻

Just a small correction: Johnny, Taeyong, and Yuta are the same age. They're the 95 line. Ten was born in 1996 so yeah he is a year younger than they are. Ten, Doyoung and Kun are 96 line.

For reference, the ncters were aged 17-19 here (the same as the maknae line of wish), so yeah they've never really been one to shy away from a mature concept... And Johnny is actually 1 year younger than Sehun, and Taeyong, Yuta and Ten are a year younger than Johnny. Also, to answer your question about Ten, he debuted with nct u in 2016 with the 7th sense, and then released a couple of solo songs over the years before fully debuting with wayv in 2019 3 years later (for reference, he also debuted with superm a few months later that same year).

I love Shinhwa. The OG of all OG variety idols. I remember watching anything they appear in because I'm sure I'd be laughing all throughout.

Fun Fact: Shinhwa is still together as of today.

I'm so glad this is finally back!
