November Patroncast - get your questions in

Hello all! So I've now got a nice little buffer of Fallout 4 videos prepared, so I'll be recorded the November Patroncast this week - leave me any questions you'd like answered or topics you'd like discussed, and I'll include them in the cast later this week - hopefully to be released to you on Saturday.

Comments

A while a go you did a video on the things you want to see in F4, now you had a chance to play, how many of those actually made it in and did they make it in the way you hoped/imagined? of those that didn't make it, which are you really hoping make it into a dlc or mod?

Sam Claxton

I have to know: When is the Euro Tuck Simulator 2 community event? :)

Allison Otting

Hey John, now you have a new PC, do you plan on doing collabs with other PC Youtubers? Like Gopher or thenthapple for example?

Twirly

I'd like to see a comedy based play through like Fallout 4: Insult Everyone. Play as a cross dressing male and say insulting comments about everyone your character meets, always choosing the sarcastic or most offensive responses and basically become hated by everyone :)

Kvalhion

Hey Jon, now that you have a new computer with a steam account will you be open to people gifting you games? i.e. me in the near future. If yes whats the list of the games you have already played?

Albert Pasana

Hey Jon! A silly question - but whatever happened to your characteristic "doo-doo-doo" hum? They seem to be harder to come by these days (I used to laugh my face off at these doo-doo-doo scenes) This is what I'm taking about https://youtu.be/MDmDaSYHlA4?t=5m10s and this https://youtu.be/7LprT0Q1Fs8?t=2m50s

Knowing you won't have many Fallout 4 questions, here's one: Have you been doing much exploration outside the videos themselves? If so, what's the best thing you've found so far. For me it was Big Jim, the 20% chance of crippling limbs wrench at Walden Pond.

Anne Other

Do you want a F3/NV Pipboy 3000 ?

Simon Key

With the advent of F4, what's something you'd particularly love to see in a Fallout game (setting, story, whatever) that's never appeared in the series?

PointyHairedJedi

Hi Jon, how well do you think you would fare in an actual Fallout? You know, assuming you survived the initial blasts without any major injuries or repercussions.

James Bannochie

Hi, Jon! If there is a legendary frag mine named after you, what's the special ability it should have?

Lau

Hi, Jon! Two things: (1) How long do you anticipate doing daily Fallout 4 vids? When will you consider the initial series "completed"? And (2) congratulations on the channel doubling in size again since the Lucius 2 special video back in June. Are you keeping on track with your hopes for growth of the MATN channel?

Andy Snyder

Hi Jon! Here's my question: have you noticed a difference in viewing numbers for the Fallout 4 videos compared to your regular Fallout series? Seeing as many a true fans are also big Fallout fans, I suspect a lot of us are holding off on viewing your FO4 videos while we play the game ourselves. So I'm just wondering if this has changed your statistics in any way? (And no, no one will mind if you want to answer this using intricate excel files.)

Mimi

Games are pretty standalone, they are just connected by lore pretty much. You may be a bit overwhermed by FO4 as there's too much to do, I'd suggest starting with the milder 3 or New Vegas.

balthamossa2b

I would also be really interested in the answer to question #2 if not too personal

Thomas Martineau

I haven't played any of the Fallout games yet and I've refrained from watching your Fallout videos so far because I want to be able to experience them fresh when I eventually DO get around to playing them. I just got my hands on a copy of Fallout 4, though, so I should get a chance to start playing it soon. My question is: if I jump into 4 without having knowledge of the prior games, will I understand what's going on? Or should I try to play the other games first?

Beatlejuice64

Hey Jon - I wanted to ask, are there any plans to go back to your "30 things I want in Fallout 4" video and see what you got right/wrong etc? And, is inviting you out for a drink when I turn 18 a bit creepy?

Adam Aust

I think you've mentioned it in the first Fallout Tactics video so here comes my question: Will you go through first games in Fallout series (such as 1 & 2) in any sort of degree (just briefly or more in detail) in the future? That would be really cool to see your expert insight into those.

Christie

What are the biggest adjustments you've had to make playing Fallout 4 vs. Fallout 3 and New Vegas? The controls are obviously a minor issue (looking at the latest Fallout 3 video) but what about the lack of condition? The way rads are handled? Etc.

Jonathan Bailey

I've considered the idea of Fallout 4: Steal Everything... Fallout 4: Scrap Everything... Fallout 4: Craft Everything... But they all seem to fall a little short of my aspirations. Jon has set the Fallout let's play bar immeasurably high :)

Eric Place

Many A True Pizza would be lovely

Eric Place

He has mentioned wanting to do FNV Kill Everything again :)

Eric Place

Any idea what kind of playthroughs youy have planned for fallout 4, as I don't think YOLO is possible with the rad system in it and it would appear that kill everything is quite impossible too.

Deric

Are there any plans for the Rome total war series you did when you were ill to return at all as I greatly loved that series and would like to see more of it.

Gareth Williams

Prototype 1 or 2 should be a Why not Wednesday!

Cale

And in refrence to your fallout 3 kill everything from way back american english does have the word culdasack

Matt Gallen

I agree with thomas just say a little bit about and make sure they know there is a link in descriptionbecause you are great and deserve to have manyatruepatrons ;)

Matt Gallen

Not so much a question as just another call for you to promote the Patreon more. Don't be shy! This is already proof that people want to support you, and I think everyone here would agree that we would love to see continue full time past the new year. The channel has gotten much better (Not that there was anything wrong before) since you went full time, and your efforts really show! Something as simple as a "Support" button in the end slate and in the video description. You can say we strong armed you into it ;)

Thomas Martineau

Suggestions: 1) new Saturday series could be Dark Souls. I have a feeling angryJon would be an amusing spectacle to watch. In the same spirit, Touhou could be a one-off. 2) Have you considered geocaching as a one-off real life video? Could be fun considering you like finding hidden chests in AssCreed. Questions: 1) out of curiosity, how does Patreon and YT get taxed in the UK? 2) If it's not too personal, how have your family & friends reacted to the whole "my entire livinghood is based on me playing video games in front of a microphone" thing?

balthamossa2b

Hi Jon, as someone who's been in love with the franchise for over 15 years, and someone who was disappointed in especially the story of MGSV, I'd love to just hear what your take on the saga is. I apologize if I've missed you comment on it. Dare I ask you to put some content up on it as well? Would love something on the lines of AC week or what ever length and quality you see fit. Thanks for the show Jon!

Jarmo Nikander

What is your least favourite feature in fallout 4?

Purple Disarray

I want to see more bad roleplaying games.

Keith Thurston

Is there anything you think fallout 4 could benefit from having or not having? I personally am liking how the sneak mechanic works now but I don't like how one of my npcs can hack a master terminal but not an expert one..

Jamie Bell

The problem is that the mainstream media picked up the game. Most opinions are not coming from genuine fans. But people who never played 3 or new Vegas. Just wait for Jon to get to know the game first.

Boris vollebregt

Hi Jon, sorry if this has been asked before; do you plan on doing any IRL events for the fans (at conventions and the like) at some point? Not sure at what fanbase threshold that becomes a thing, but it could be nice

Calum Gaffney

Hello! How are things; how has your life changed since you switched to full-time YouTube'ing, hope it's meeting your expectations? :) How are Many A True Claire and Many A True Cat doing? WHEN WILL THERE BE ANOTHER MANY A TRUE COOKING VIDEO? Ahem. Have a lovely day!

Maja

Maybe you've heard this question a thousand times but i ask you anyways. Are you planning to do modded versions of Fallout 3 or New Vegas? Or are you totally done with those games after yolo. And is fallout 4 the focus for the upcoming future?

Boris vollebregt

Can you please for the love of God give an honest review of FIV. Everyone else is just sucking it off and I can't believe I'm not hearing anyone on yt who loved New Vegas shit on this game as much as it deserves.

KRONK

Now that you've finished up Deadly Premonition, what will be your next saturday series?
