February Patroncast Submissions
Added 2016-02-26 23:13:19 +0000 UTCHello all!
So I'll be recording February's Patroncast this weekend. I would like to talk about the Where's The Fair Use discussions that have been going round the internet recently, but, of course, I'll also be answering any and all questions, so leave them below, with any other requests, and I'll go through them and get a Patroncast out to you, together with the most interesting games I'm looking at for March, within a few days.

I was literally browsing steam, found that game and was about to ask the same thing. Heres to hoping He'll play it!

2016-03-06 22:04:15 +0000 UTCHi Jon! This is totally a non-gaming related question, but I've been obsessed with the soundtrack to the musical Hamilton lately, and I was wondering if you had heard of it! Listening to it would definitely help with your knowledge of American history, haha. More broadly though, what kinds of music do you like to listen to?

2016-03-06 03:59:30 +0000 UTCProbably too late for February, but had a question. After watching your Flame in the Flood video, it made me wonder if you have or are planning on trying The Long Dark. Its pretty similar, but just in a sandbox Alpha right now.

2016-03-04 16:39:37 +0000 UTCIt's not a dumb question. Patreon automatically converts international currencies into dollar equivalents. Two pounds is worth about 2.83 dollars, which is what you will want to donate if you want precisely two pounds. Hope this is helpful!

2016-03-04 06:44:07 +0000 UTCToo late for February, but please answer for March? Jon/Claire, I think I have asked this before: Are you guys a couple? (Someone on youtube had the strong held the opinion that you are step-siblings) How much influence does Claire have on game selection? Are there any games based on books that Claire thinks that Jon should play?

2016-03-04 03:41:30 +0000 UTCQuick dumb question, if my pledge says $2 but I live in the UK is it the dollar equivalent I'm pledging or £2? I want to be pledging £2 but it's not very clear, I'm sure I set it to pounds but the email I got said $2...

2016-03-03 14:22:53 +0000 UTCI just became a member of this Patreon group thing and i couldn't be happier. MATN is by far my favorite channel and Jon is wonderful

2016-03-03 00:21:26 +0000 UTCBrilliant stuff as usual Jon. And yeah would like to hear your thoughts on it. Don't suppose you'd do any discussion style content on the channel, maybe in a collaboration format?

2016-03-01 22:52:39 +0000 UTCMight be too late but I'm interested in how you went about naming your channel. Did you just pick a name or is there a story behind it?

2016-03-01 21:22:11 +0000 UTCNot so much other than a comment and my once again thanks. My girlfriend has been in hospital the past week recovering from surgery. On taking today about things she wants to do once she gets back home, your name was top of the list to catch up on videos, thanks for giving her something for her to look forward to. :D

2016-02-28 21:00:49 +0000 UTCKeep up the great work Jon, appreciate all the effort you put into all of your videos! As for my question, are there any football clubs you support seeing as you're from England?

2016-02-28 17:40:44 +0000 UTCI am a big fan of your Don't Starve mini run. Would you ever consider another mini Fallout series, or are they a pain in the ass to make and then edit down? In that vein, do you think you could complete FO4 on hard mode without cashing in any of your level ups for perks? Greatly enjoying all the psychic blitz attacks.

2016-02-28 03:56:35 +0000 UTCDo you think you'll do a no-kill run/kill everything run before doing a YOLO series for Fallout 4?

2016-02-27 19:42:25 +0000 UTCCouple questions this month, one short and one long: 1) How about playing Frozen Synapse? Feels like a game right down your alley. 2) I really appreciated having Fallout Saturday during Saint Valentine's week. I live in France, so I get Fallout at about 11PM Sunday normally. This is too late to watch since I work on Monday, so I can't watch it live (when you and other viewers are active in the comments). Plus during weekdays I almist have no free time, so often I must split my watching session between Monday and Tuesday. Would you consider moving Fallout to Saturdays? It would allow me (and others) to watch your main series ASAP.

2016-02-27 16:43:19 +0000 UTCSince you aren't interested in doing long running non Fallout series, will you be doing more "once off" videos for bigger titles? The indies are fine but they all seem to fit into a specific genre.

2016-02-27 16:30:54 +0000 UTCAny regrets about the jump to YouTube so far? And, conversely, what are you enjoying most about it?

2016-02-27 15:17:37 +0000 UTCI am very happy that 952 other patreon and 155.116 subcribers enjoy your fantastic videos too. Keep it up guys. Here some questions for Jon. 1.) What is your favourite video of your channel? 2.) Do you play games outside of your channel (without recording)? 3.) Did you ever got an offer for a sponsored travel to play a game prior release? Would you accept such an offer? (e.g. if you have the chance to play a new fallout, mass effect or hitman weeks before release)

2016-02-27 13:28:08 +0000 UTCWhat's your most anticipated thing of the year, including games, events or anything else you can think of?

2016-02-27 10:48:50 +0000 UTCCould you explain why some YouTubers Let's Play Nintendo games, while others avoid them?

2016-02-27 09:38:10 +0000 UTCOn the topic of WTFU have you experienced any takedowns from fake companies claiming to be representatives of things they aren't. Sorry I'm doing a college article on this so I'm super Pidgeon sleuthing on finding info.

2016-02-27 08:39:51 +0000 UTCI know this is a long shot but it would be great to hear you talk more about and play more history games. your total war series was fantastic and i would love to see you try out something like Civ
Cisco Frost
2016-02-27 05:06:31 +0000 UTCJon as a history buff have you ever gotten into any of the Civ games or Age of Empires? Also do you practice much for the more challenging parts of the YOLO runs?
Zack
2016-02-27 04:06:23 +0000 UTCHey Jon, great work on the channel. I was wondering if you were going to go back and finish Assassin's Creed Syndicate at some point? I actually got in to that game because of your Assassin's Creed week and really would like to see you do more.

2016-02-27 02:49:19 +0000 UTCI'd totally go for a shirt!

2016-02-27 02:22:23 +0000 UTCI'm glad to hear that you're discussing the WTFU issue, since you are at least partly supported by Youtube (from what I understand). But thatiscussion dmakes me all the happier you have Patreon as well. My Fallout 4 question: In your No Guns run, you've been using food items not just for healing but the additional buffs. This includes AP and the like, similar to drugs (without the addiction). Do you feel that a YOLO Fallout 4 run would be able to include food items not for healing, but the other benefits? Since the true health counter keeps the real health score, I feel like you might consider using food boosts for AP and the like. Hope you, Claire, and Tabby are doing well!

2016-02-27 02:16:12 +0000 UTCHey Jon! Have you made any decisions on MATN merchandise? If so what would you consider putting up (like t-shirts, jackets, coasters etc.)

2016-02-27 01:56:00 +0000 UTCGood questions, guys :) I can't wait for this Patroncast!

2016-02-27 01:09:33 +0000 UTCHey, Jon! Has there ever been a playthrough you've recorded but not uploaded for any reason?

2016-02-27 00:55:47 +0000 UTCJon, you and Matt have excellent chemistry together, and are you planning to more Co op games with him? Also, what is your preferred portmanteau for that pairing.

2016-02-27 00:20:16 +0000 UTCHello Jon/Claire/Tabitha. Stardew Valley - a game released just today, created by single developer over the past 4 years. I am more than curious about your opinion on it. How's the work on the website going? Need any help with it (graphics, coding, styling, testing) from the community? I remember a long time ago you posted a video to celebrate the Geek Day (of some sorts), playing a board game or two. Would it be possible to repeat such a thing, either IRL or in-game form (like Tabletop Simulator)? Have a great weekend :)
Maja
2016-02-27 00:09:16 +0000 UTCWill you be doing a Total War series like you said in your Rome video, or was it scrapped, for some reason ? I really liked when you talk about history, like in Ryse or the Rome video, it makes it really entertaining.

2016-02-26 23:48:20 +0000 UTCHow strong was feedback that viewers want a The Division series? Have you made a decision on it yet? March 8th! :)

2016-02-26 23:38:19 +0000 UTCCan you tell us anything else about the website?

2016-02-26 23:37:46 +0000 UTCPlutarch's Parallel Lives: historical work or political allegory? Answer in haiku form, please.

2016-02-26 23:35:42 +0000 UTCAs someone who has played the older fallout games how would you suggest to someone going about playing them for the first time?
Tonie Platten
2016-02-26 23:22:15 +0000 UTCWould you consider doing a raffle for the game keys you're occasionally given for Patreon supporters? Also, have you considered announcing/adding a Patreon link to the end of your videos? I think something similar to how The Great War does it is nice and not entirely intrusive (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreatWar)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreatWar).</a>
