June 2023 Patroncast Submissions - Now Closed

Hello!

So, it's not actually half way through July yet, which means it's completely acceptable to start work on the June Patroncast. Maybe we'll fix this at the end of the year with some 'New Year' shenanigans.

Just in case you're new, this submission thread is where you get to ask questions, suggest topics, or declare your love of Cameron, the greatest sniper who ever lived.

So ask away, and I'll update this post when the Patroncast is recorded, so as long as there isn't an edit below saying that, everything should be good :)

EDIT - The Patroncast has now been recorded, so further questions cannot be included.

All the best,

Jon

Comments

That is completely fine, I am sorry It was never meant as a question to start controversy.

Daniel Friel

Functionally very little - support however suits you best :)

Many A True Nerd

Welcome aboard :)

Many A True Nerd

I can guarantee, it will be shown :)

Many A True Nerd

I'm sure you can appreciate for privacy and security, we don't share any specific information. We've been in Greater London for many years, and we don't say more than that.

Many A True Nerd

Yep, mass report away - there are occasional bursts of spam bot activity that I deal with as best as I can.

Many A True Nerd

Welcome back :)

Many A True Nerd

Owing to the various controversies around JK Rowling, we'd prefer not to discuss Harry Potter related questions if that's ok.

Many A True Nerd

I am afraid that neither Claire or I watched it

Many A True Nerd

Boooo :(

Many A True Nerd

Those are both very good ideas that I have considered previously - you may well see them one day :)

Many A True Nerd

Good old Mordin :)

Many A True Nerd

Woof bark woof.

Many A True Nerd

I shall give the video a look so I am better informed :)

Many A True Nerd

Who was your favorite NPC of oblivion?

Piers Senner

That's perfectly understandable. Thank you for your understanding. Hope Ted feels better soon.

Anthony Phillips

As much as it's appreciated, just for privacy and security, we don't have a mailbox set up.

Many A True Nerd

Jon, it means the world to me that you have responded back, and I appreciate the answer. It’s one that I feel is likely most appropriate. Love your content, have fun in France!

Thee Shrink

I kind of feel like question 3 isn't one I can fairly answer - I'm not trans, and it wouldn't be by place to try to explain the struggle and situation that that group faces. I feel anything I do say would be unhelpful, as it would be inherently from an uninformed position.

Many A True Nerd

I do enjoy it when the Patroncast requests get to become videos before the Patroncast is even out :)

Many A True Nerd

Hi John, any chance you would consider a playthrough of baldur's gate 3 or pathfinder? (either one)

David Agnew

I'm not sure if it would be up your alley but watching you play tactical games reminded me of Valkyria Chronicles. It's quite 'anime' but the alternate WWI-esque + magic is a unique setting and the gameplay is... uh... 'You send a group of soldiers + tank out each mission. Each time you choose a character to move, the game goes from a map view to third person. As you move your character, you use up their movement points, doing an action like shooting, grenade throw, healing etc ends your turn.' In VC1, there's a lot of customization for the tank and weapons later on have different trees/options. There's permadeath for none plot crucial soldiers(most of them). Might be good for a one-off.

Dragmire

Seeing that you love those xcom-y games, I'd suggest the Jagged Alliance games. And when you mentioned something like xcom-y coming up during the "dave the diver" stream, that it would be the recently released Jagged Alliance3. P. S.: damn you for that stream, I now have to split my time between xcom2 and dave the diver!

Stefan Bauer

How do you stream, setup-wise, from the Switch? Do you move your setup into the loungeroom and crash on the couch lol?

Keagan Wyatt

Hey, I’ve never played all the way through a Pokémon game, I got through one gym in Leaf Green on the game oh advance and then I played a lot of Pokémon Go, but that’s it. I recently got a little emulator version of a gameboy, What classic Pokémon game should I play? Or maybe a more fun way to ask this question, “rank your best Pokémon games in order”

bluelord55

Greetings Jon hope all is well just wanted to know does it make a difference on your end if we have Patreon membership or YouTube membership.

David

Hello there Jon! Could another Shadows of Doubt live-stream happen, but where Claire is the one that plays (or possibly Jon vs Claire like for Dorfromantik, but feels less suitable for that)? I think Claire could do some really good detective work (read: better than Jon)! Also, I had my birthday 14th of June, can I get an attempt at a "Swedish Jon" Happy Birthday?

Knapp

Hey Jon, hope you're all well. Just out of interest, with your Starfield play through are you going to start the main quest and then go off an do lots of side stuff, before going back to the main quest? Reason I ask is that I don't want spoilers as I want to play it, but equally I want to watch your play through! lol. If people playing along stay ahead of you in the main quest, have you thought about structuring your play through like this to help retain viewers on your series?

Steve Childs (MGSteve)

Hey Jon, quick question: if I report a youtube bot that's impersonating you, do you get notified or just YouTube? I've reported one that replied to a comment of mine and I'm not sure if I should spam the report button since it's still there. I don't want to spam it if I just end up annoying you with repeated reports.

Dragmire

Hey, Jon and Claire and Ted, Hope all is well. My question this month is where out of curiosity is MATN headquarters actually located? Feel free, of course, to answer as vaguely or specifically as you are comfortable with

Helixspace

Hey Jon! Are there any plans for more collaborations with Dan & Matt? I really enjoy your road trip & sea of thieves joint episodes!

Mark Peckham

Jon and Clair! Have you ever checked out any of the Brandon Sanderson Books The Stormlight Archives for more high fantasy or Mistborn for Steampunk Fantasy?

oliver hepplewhite-ford

Jon! While playing through Broken Steel, you mentioned more games needing a post-ending DLC to show you how the world has changed. I wonder if you can talk a bit about how most open world games tend to have one of two frustrating options: 1) You can't play past the ending, so even after you've beaten the game, you have to reload your last save, leaving you to explore the world with a constant unfinished "Go Beat The Game" quest in your quest log... or 2) You can continue playing after beating the game, but everything is pretty much the same, making your efforts saving the world feel pretty meaningless. Thanks!

Brian Bitner

Hi Jon! Out of all the mutated creatures in New Vegas affected by the Animal Friend perk, which do you think would make the best pet in real life?

Christina (shrugs)

This is the first comment I saw after becoming a member. Just wanted to say hi! Been following Jon since 2017 but am late to the Patreon party. Keep making this content, man. It is by far my favorite on YouTube!

David Sargent

Mass Effect 3 Renegade. Shepard went from being a dick to being a genocidal maniac.

MrGhosta5

Jon if you got hit by a truck what world would you choose to Isekai into and why?

MrGhosta5

As its almost the 10th birthday of the Fallout New Vegas No Kill & Kill Everything series, they are going to be receiving their first Pokemon and Pokedex from Professor Oak soon. What sort of Pokemon would each of them choose and what would their Pokemon adventure look like?

Steve Alberts

Jon, I saw a comment on a recent Tale of Two Wastelands video that someone had stopped watching because they can’t watch evil playthroughs, which I found a bit silly. But, is there any time in a video game where you've felt like that’s gone too far – I don’t want to play as this character anymore?

John Coutelier

As an ADHD-haver I enjoy the occasional ramble on nearly any subject. One of the main draws of MATN videos is Jon going very deep into a particular detail or bit of classics lore. So, my question is for Claire; what subject or particular topic of Jon's mad ramblings do you enjoy the most? (And maybe for Jon; talking about what thing really gets Claire going on a rant?)

Jorg2 - the Heinlein that troopers your starship instantly

Hi Jon, I recently watched your old serie of Hitman Absolution and I was stunned with how good you analyzed the flaws of the game (most were fixed for WOA). Can you tell me what ameliorations you would want in a future Hitman game? Also, give Ted a treat.

Ricco

In the Podcats, the sentiment towards Pentiment (lol) was generally slightly negative. However, it is one of the best games I have ever played and I do not feel like it has any deep flaws, but rather is an artistic and focused game experience. What are your "final" thoughts on Pentiment?

Stian Øverbye

Hi Jon, hope you and yours are doing well. Can you show off the train hat trick as part of ToTW please? It's great for a laugh

Keagan Wyatt

Hi Jon, loved your Fallout essay videos. Would you ever consider writing a book about video games, and what topic would you cover?

GeekMeetsWorld

What was the hardest FMK you ever remember being asked?

AHuggingSam

Hey Jon! Asked you last month about riding motorcycles, how about style? F/M/K 1) Duke 390 2) Street triple 3) Royal Enfield classic

Thomas Clark

What do you have against dolphins?

Nick

Just saw the video you just put out on it. Very excited for possible livestreams! Oh and you haven’t even scratched the surface of the amount of content in the game haha

ZenWest44

Hi Jon! Seeming that you enjoy an occasional rougelike what is your opinion on the original one - ADOM - Ancient Domains of Mistery. Have you played it, either text or graphical version?

yureq

Hi Jon! It's my birthday on the 29th of July, could I please have a happy birthday in your most normal voice? Also is there anything you do to prevent RSI when gaming for long periods of time?

Alice Roberts

Jon! I heard you talk last Patroncast about how you're not the biggest fan of Obsidians smaller RPG's like Outer Worlds and the upcoming Avowed. But isn't it unrealistic to expect that all RPG's have the same size and scope as like Skyrim, F4 or Witcher 3? I personally love smaller projects and the writing tends to be way better in Outer Wilds and Pentiment than Skyrim or Fallout 4. What do you think?

Sander Huissen

Anniversairy special idea: would you ever try and make Claire a second chocolate shoe to go with the original?

Steve Alberts

Jon, thanks to your absurd refusal to finish Obra Dinn, I purchased and finished the game myself. It was a delightful puzzle and I enjoyed it, but I missed your commentary. As for a question, the Lovecraft aspects of the fallout series are interesting but ultimately feel shallow. Same with the aliens. Do you think future games will explore those elements further or would that be too far astray from the fallout series?

Erstwhile Egret

Jon, whats an aspect or story from the fallout lore that you would like to see expanded on or explained in the next fallout game?' Also, do you have any plans to see the "Oppenheimer" film? Since its before the timeline divergence it can be considered a fallout prequal :P

Canadas Bacon

Jon! We all know you're a bit of a scaredy cat, but are there any games or movies that you just had to stop playing/watching because you were too freaked out, and which ones give you just the right amount of scares? Similar question to Claire, how do you feel about horror things and do you have any favourites? (books, movies, Jon cooking stories etc.) Loving the channel at the moment, praise to Cameron and his pistol of smiting.

Tortoise Of Legends

Hello Jon! If society was kind and were to move to a four days a week six hour workweek, how do you think that would effect the channel? Lots of streams, other streams too last about seven or eight hours, how would the entertainment industry adjust? Last month with my pistol post I mostly was showing my disappointment about pistols in 76, in 4 I was no vats and used my 10mm until the end. In 76 the 10mm is a pea shooter. :( A crit build is the only way to use them really in 76. I know you don't play 76, but do you still keep up with it? This year seems extra disappointing for the game.

Smitje

Happy June-ly, Jon, Claire and Ted! Jon, what is your least favourite video on the channel? Not necessarily the one with the least views, but one that you are not a fan of looking back, if any! Also, how would you change this video now? Claire, I'm going to be reading Neuromancer soon and was wondering if you had any interest/suggestions for books within the Cyberpunk genre. Ted, what's your favourite snack? I'm a beef man myself

Zac Thompson

Hi John, the past year I've been learning loads about Ancient Greek myth and culture and I'm hooked! I want to know everything I can and would love to know if there are any books/ reading material you believe I should read to learn more.

Callum Merry-Taylor

Since Fallout New Vegas: Don’t Starve was a weird runaway success do you think you could do a similar one-off for Fallout 4?

bluelord55

Man, when I read this I misread it as Tim Kain, and I was like ‘why would Jon care about a YouTube channel from a US politician? And why would Tim Kain start a YouTube channel in the first place?’

Roman Totale

Hi, Jon, I hope you guys are doing well! I must say that watching your XCOM2 playthrough is a source of both real joy and great frustration. I guess I am biased as I already know the game and have beaten it a couple of times (including on Ironman…), so I have my own ideas how to play it. It is to the game’s credit that your playstyle, entirely different from mine, still lets you progress. Anyway, as a long-time viewer of your channel, I kinda understand that you learning the game is part of the charm (and it’s how hilarity ensues) and I’m trying to resist the urge to backseat game, but I can’t help but notice that some of the trouble you get into (from which you then masterfully get yourself out of, somehow) is entirely because you refuse to actually internalize the information the game is giving you (which again – is part of your schtick) as in the case of the Templars or Skirmishers, or some of the abilities (like Bladestorm, which actually helped my win the game as many enemies are melee or get into your face, like the scary Archon, or Run & Gun, which allows Rangers to become long-range shotgun-to-the-face delivery units). But, you do you, it’s one hell of an entertaining series, your XCOM2 run. I know people in the comment section are nagging you about all that, so sorry that I did so too, I couldn’t help myself. So I guess my question is: do you ever do research before you play a game in terms of its mechanics, or do you prefer to go in blind and learn as you go? Do you think that XCOM2 is doing a good job explaining how its systems work? What game do you think does it best? Do you like to learn via playing or you prefer to have a tutorial section and walls of text detailing how this and that works? Loving your channel and wishing you all the best!

Tomasz Sola

Any interesting stats from your steam library (total games / played / achievements etc.)?

Daffy

Have you ever played a game twice without realizing you've played it before (like reading a book).

Daffy

fuck marry kill Hancock, MacCready and Dance Fuck marry kill Curie, X6 and Nick Valentine

Row white

Fuck marry kill game edition- marry you play everyday fuck you play occasionally and kill you never play again Fallout 4 Frost, Fallout New Vegas Dust and fallout California.

Jon! I very much enjoyed the Resident Evil 4 remake (having only played and loved the original once way back when it came out). I've only dipped my toe in the rest of the franchise and am wondering where to go next. Village? The remakes of 2 & 3? The HD remasters of 1 and 0? Thanks!

Brian Bitner

Hello Jon! Sorry if this has been asked before but is there a reason you haven’t done Skyrim YOLO? Is it a case of not knowing the game as well as the Fallout ones or is it a scheduling thing?

John Howard

Good afternoon Jon, Claire and Ted hope you're all excellent, I hope Ted was ok with the bad weather we have been having. We had bad thunder and lightning here in Yorkshire and Molly could not settle for days. Jon: Today Microsoft won there court case against the FTC and are able to complete the purchase of Activision Blizzard. If you could pick 3 any ABK ip to bring back which three would you pick? Claire: Have you ever been tempted to read any of the books that have inspired some of the games that have been on the channel ie The Witcher, Metro ect?.

Yorkshire Bhoy

Jon, instead of all this worrying about the Patroncast naming convention (which is frankly, perfect), have you considered re-designing the calendar to better line up with when these Patroncasts come out? (If you do, please make February the longest month. #JusticeForFebruary)

Jacobston

If you could make one change to Fallout 4's plot to make it more interesting, what would it be?

Talon Lardner

Jon! You mentioned last month that Fallout 4 doesn't have any late game pistol options. May I remind you about the Deliverer, an absolute beast of a pistol which is more powerful than a 10mm and uses less AP, to the point where you can max out the 16 available shots in VATS with the right build and still have AP left over. Pair that with the right agility and luck perks, and you can usually take out an entire group of enemies in a single VATS round.

Brian Bitner

Claire, I hear you enjoyed the Nimona graphic novel and movie (I thought both were wonderful in different ways) did you have any recommendations for other LGBTQIA+ friendly fantastical stories?

Bitter Magic

Hi Jon. Personally I struggled with how The Last Of Us Part 2 kept asking me to push the 'consent now' button during every torture/murder cutscene. It felt like I was playing a CYOA where the was no actual choice, but I was still being punished as if I'd made the wrong choices. As someone who adds a lot of their own narrative when playing games on your channel, does this sort of narrative device affect you much?

Bitter Magic

Also side note, years ago I was a patron and I’ve finally been in a place to join back up. I love to see that the Patron casts are still comically behind schedule. I love it. ❤️

Trevor Jones

Declaring my love for Cameron! I haven’t been this emotionally invested in the in-game stakes of a series since Fallout 4 YOLO/Survival Mode. Cameron’s an absolute powerhouse who’s blown away my heart as much as he’s blown away aliens. Woo!

Trevor Jones

Hello Jon, Claire, and THE MAGNIFICENT TED. My question this month is this, John do you have a particular game you go to to relax and unwind (particularly one that we havent see yet, one you try to keep to yourself) And Claire as the resident MATN Handywoman I had to ask. Do you think that Hogwarts would renovate itself more post battle of Hogwarts to add things like wifi and the ability to use more muggle tech or do you think they would stick to tradition and force the newer generations to use quills and parchment instead of iPads and apple pencils ?

Daniel Friel

Claire, did you watch any of the "House of the Dragon" TV series? If so, what were ur thoughts?

Canadas Bacon

Jon, It was I who back in February 2020 asked you about "this COVID thing", and set you up for the worst aged answer in patroncast history. No question, I'm just sorry for what we in the business call a "Suicide pass"

Canadas Bacon

Jon! What were your overall thoughts on Red Dead Redemption 2? I remember that you had a lot of good to say about it, but you never went back and finished the series. I thought that some of the micro-managing/hyper-realism was just a bit too much for me, and I much preferred the arcade style of the first game. Amazing story though!

Keevo

Hi Jon, Claire & Ted! Have you heard of Pokemon Sleep, and if so, do you have any thoughts about it?

Steve Alberts

Hello all! Jon, are there any challenge run ideas that you've had and decided wouldn't be worth doing for whatever reason? Also, any chance you'd do maybe a special or something showing some of the more insane Fallout 4 builds? Like if one were to have all junkie gear, or a fully rad powered build, etc. Maybe using console commands to get the legendary gear for it. I think it'd be super interesting to see what crazy builds can be had and just how powerful they are. Side note - I had sent a superchat a bit ago talking about a level 1 useless permadeath hardcore playthrough of Dead Money, and since finishing it, I 100% recommend it. It's an insane challenge, even playing on normal difficulty(but with the jsawyer mod).

missingno

Hi Jon! What's the best item in a Full English breakfast, and what could you do without?

Sean

Hi Jon, are you considering doing a one off on Armored core 6? I'm not sure if mech games have ever been on the channel but given your recent interest in from soft games it might be interesting to try. I loved the Earth Defense Force livestreams and I think Armored Core has the same destructive vibe

Steve

Hi Jon I hope you claire and Ted are doing good and my question other than the sea people was there any other groups that just randomly showed up and sacked ancient cities and disappeared like they did or were they the only ones?

GamerGeorgeXl

Hello. Have you seen that Tim Cain started a youtube channel? Lots of very interesting information about the development of Fallout, his other projects, and game development in general. Highly recommended to anyone interested!

Marius Skarsem Pedersen

Hey Jon! First a suggestion for you to listen to I am the very model of a scientist salarian, I think you would find it funny. And then my question, in your opinion what makes a good perk in a rpg?

Ryan Towers

heyho Jon, so i haven't had much time to enjoy your content as much as i would like to. So what would you say are must watches (one offs or series) for say about the last 6 weeks?

Edward Peschel

Jon, I've recently been re-watching the Hades videos/livestreams. Did you ever level up the other weapons or just stay with all bow? Bought the game during the steam sale and I've got 7 escapes across 4 weapons so far.

David

Hi Jon, Claire, and Ted. Question for Ted this month: woof, woof woof, woof woof woof, bark?

Kieran

Hi Jon! I recently rewatched your Disco Elysium video, and you seemed to have a lot of fun with it. I was wondering if you played more if it on your own time, and if yes, what you thought of it? Many thanks for all your good work!

Philippe Moret

Hi Jon! F**k, Marry, Kill: Fallout New Vegas YOLO, Fallout 3 YOLO or Fallout 4 YOLO?

Leftback

Jon, what's your favourite conspiracy theory that you think is total nonsense but still excellent - and are there any you actually believe in?

Wimble

Hi Jon! What do you think about motion controls in games? I always hated them when playing on console or PC, but I’ve found that I really enjoy them when playing handheld on the Switch or the Steam Deck. I think it’s because when I move my Deck around I’m moving the window through which I see the world, so it’s closer to moving in that space myself. When the TV is sat still and I’m just moving the controller it feels very disconnected. I found it especially useful in Fallout 4 with my sniper build for fine tuning shots.

Martin Cox

Jon, your immense powers of predictions are renowned! Please confirm the release dates of the following games/add Ons: Starfield DLC TES 6 TES 6 DLC Fallout (most likely 3) Remastered Fallout 5 Many, many thanks!

Tom Boldero

Hi Jon, could you tell us about one person in the gaming industry that you've interacted with who is nice, cool, or otherwise delightful?

W

Hi Jon! I just want to thank you for your video on Shadows of Doubt. I bought the game immediately after watching it and have logged considerable time in it. Of course, it’s in early access and will continue to be added to in the future. My question is, what sort of things would like to see added to it? I’d personally like to see a motive system added, and some new kinds of killers Thanks for all the amazing work you and Claire do, you guys are excellent!

Tom Harper

Hi Jon! So, Zelda. Despite getting a good amount of votes, people still didn't watch it. Why do you think this happened? Also, what are your current plans about Zelda? Will we get more livestreams, even though they're not getting the views? Will it become like pokemon, and we'll be getting series or mini series this way? And what about Wind Waker? You've talked about it so much, it's weird it's not on the channel yet.

Steven B. Lucas

I thought Zelda would do better but the curse of Nintendo lives on in your channel I guess. Hope you enjoyed it! Between your Blood Moon reaction and getting knocked in the head with a falling spring, you have quite the material for a new end card! A couple months ago I recommended Alpha Centauri as a Civilization game mixed with a Mass Effect Codex. MandaloreGaming has a good 15ish minute breakdown of the good and bad of the game which may give you a better idea of what I mean when I made that example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oDIG4RRcLM&ab_channel=MandaloreGaming

Dragmire

Hi Jon! Will you be giving Cities: Skylines 2 a try when it releases?

Salem Wildfire

Hello!! I have recently been enjoying the Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life remake (now Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life). I was curious if you ever got into the Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons games? If not, I highly recommend the new remake. It’s a very fun, relaxing game, and the SoS games are some of my go-to “quiet time” games. Give a big cuddle to Ted for me!

KayofAllTrades

Were the ancient Greeks and Romans more cat lovers or dog lovers?

Miyaa

I noticed how much you enjoyed the different difficulty sliders in system shock. How well do you think they'd apply to games like Skyrim and modern fallout?

kevlarmenace

Hello Jon my question well you be trying out the new fable game when it comes out and what do you think of the trailers

ShugM25

The Economist recently published an article (https://www.economist.com/business/2023/07/06/how-white-collar-warriors-gear-up-for-the-day) utilizing the Iliad as a stand-in for the modern corporate office. Achilles being the high-achiever who is disengaged/burnt-out, the gods being the senior management, and how Homer would would be anti-work-from-home, based on how Achilles 'readied for war.' I'm curious what you'd think, as a classicist, and if you can come up with a better analogy?

Reformed Nerd

Hi Jon, Claire and Ted, If the current TTW series is designed to show parts of Fallout 3 that you haven't shown before on the channel, why are you so resolute in your determination to stay neutral? I don't believe you've shown any good karma content before. Plus if you do show Junders Plunkett no one will thank you are crazy

Liam O'Connell

Jon, you seem to enjoy challenge runs, such as with You Only Live Once or the Suit Only Silent Assassin runs. What got you started on these, or did it sort of happen over time?

ZVL

Jon and Claire what kind of question would definitely make you two happy to get asked, is there something both of you would you like an excuse to talk about and have either of you two imagined Ted and kittens cuddling on the sofa or the same thing but with the two of you as well? Also have you heard of Common'hood a game about building a thriving community in an abandoned industrial site after a housing eviction caused by american medical bills?

SamTheSensualSapphist

Game recommendation: The Gardens Between. I played through it recently and I think you'd very much enjoy it. Also have you considered simply numbering the patroncasts each year rather than making them for the months? That would instantly solve your naming issue!

Paul Hawkins

Hello Jon, Claire and Ted! This is a question from my wife Dayna. She really wants to know if there are any plans to return to or have a livestream of Contraband Police? Also, just wanted to say thank you for all your years of excellent content. I first stumbled onto your page from the Kotaku article about New Vegas kill everything and I don't think there's been a day since that we haven't watched something of yours. I've played so many games that I was on the fence about over the years because you had a video and I could get a genuine look at them first. Cheers from a fellow couple of 30-somethings, Give Ted a boop from us!

Paul Moreau

Hullo Jon, Claire and Ted! For each of you: What is your go to flavour for snacking? Salty, sweet, coffee, leather, etc.? P.S. Any plans for Alan Wake 2 (or Control)?

Travis Reis

Are you excited for Starfield? Did the direct give you any ideas for character creation?

Stephen M McKellep

Dear Jon, Claire and Ted, I hope you, especially the latter, are staying cool. Three questions: Would you ever consider returning to doing a live stream of Ghost of Tsushima or (Wife’s request) Dredge? I absolutely loved Ghost of Tsushima and it was gorgeous, and my wife loved watching you play Dredge. 2: Have you and Claire watched Sex Education on Netflix? My sister works on the show and I feel like you’d like it if you haven’t seen it. 3: I’m a therapist and I am always interested in explaining to people about the psychology of trans people and I am curious on how you would explain to people about trans rights and understanding the psychology. Intrigued by Claire’s take as well. If this is over the line, you don’t have to answer. Many Pets and nice treats for Ted. I think as a classical historian I think you’d be amused that we named our daughter after the Greek Goddess of Bounty/Harvest and Destruction.

Thee Shrink

Good day, Jon! Who's your favourite villain in video gaming, and who's your favourite protagonist? Same question for Claire, but for books.

Carabas

Everyone will want to see Starfield when it will come out - have you considered doing one Starfield only week or something?

Andris Grīnbergs

Hi Jon! Have you gotten over the existential fear yet that there are lots of planes flying overhead using just VFR all of the time?

Kenneth Stamper

Hello Jon I've just finished a playthrough of the Mass Effect games and was wondering what you think your most controversial/unpopular opinion of them was? Mine is that the ending to ME3 isn't actually all that bad.

David Stuart

Hi Jon! I just saw the latest Xcom epidode, I appreciate the switch to Commander difficulty as the floor wiping was getting a bit crazy...I wish you luck, Commander is much harder so try to be cautious and stay in good cover! Why did you take this decision? Are you regretting it already? Also quick question, will you ever do a Witcher saga playthrough? The second game has New Vegas levels or branching paths in some places, you can import saves between then like Mass Effect and the third game is just on another level compared to most action "RPGs". It's such a good fit for the channel. Next democracy week maybe? Also avoid the Netflix series it's so bad compared to the books it makes me sad =(

Skye

Jon, what are your favourite classics references in discworld?

Anna D

Given your love of some older games, but also the minefield that they can be, do you intend to cover the new Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life at all? I'm very much enjoying my time with this remake of the GameCube classic Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life and honestly I'd love to hear your opinions on it. Also last Patroncast I offered to send you some of my families favorite box meals but never found a PO box, and also later realized I may have stepped over a line as I don't remember you getting packages from the community before. If I was out of line, I apologize. Many pets to Ted.

Anthony Phillips

For you and Claire - if you could have any super power what would it be and why?

Row white

Hello Jon Why are you so handsome, and what happens after xcom2?

Jim Sung

Jôn! Hello! What's your beverage of choice on a hot summer day? ALSO: Enthusiastic recommendation for Broken Roads. Just played the demo and it rocks.

Malachi Biffle

So me and my girlfriend (we both love your content, thank you and Claire for keeping us thoroughly entertained) are currently up in Glasgow for the week and it’s a lot nicer than the Heroin filled slum that I was led to believe that it was. My question to you, is as somebody who has traveled a lot, which city have you been to that has thoroughly exceeded your expectations and also which city in the UK is your favourite? Also, I know shout-outs are normally in a “happy-birthday” segment, but I would really really be grateful if you could give a shoutout to charcoals in Glasgow. It’s a fantastic Urdu restaurant that feeds the homeless every Thursday, and it’s the only restaurant that I’ve seen commit to doing something like that. Also shoutout to Ali for being an all-round fantastic human being, would recommend Charcoals for anyone who’s in the area and wants to support a good cause!

Jon, I hope you and the rest of the True Nerd family are well. Could you describe a video or project that you were really proud of that absolutely did not live up to expectations regarding how you thought it would do on the channel (or work place if not YouTube related)?

Alex

Hello Jon Claire and Ted! My question is: if you worked at Vault Tec and you were put in charge of a vault. What would the horrific experiment be and what would the Vault Number be?

Chester

Hey Jon! Have you gotten a chance to try Dave the Diver? Easily one of the best games I got during the summer sale. Wishing you, Claire, and Ted the best!
