Many A True Nerd Update - I'm Not Dead (Featuring Apology Kittens)

So. I just checked the calendar, and it's not February anymore, which is rather embarrassing given that's what was written on the most recent Patroncast submission thread. So what's the deal with that?

The short version is that I spent the last 3 months making a series of Incredibly Bad Decisions, in terms of how busy we've been.

Highlights include;

• A Millennia sponsored video double bill that ended up taking nearly a full week to record and edit, as it was a full campaign.

• Deciding that I'd buy myself some time before starting Skies of Arcadia by doing a really short and easy project talking about my favourite games of all time, despite the fact this is basically a 4-part video essay, and I have no idea what I was thinking there.

• Ending the Favourite Games Of All Time week further behind than where I began, so I had even less time to prepare Skies of Arcadia.

Now all of that might have been ok, if I hadn't tried to do it at the exact same time as;

• Extensive roadworks right outside MATN HQ so I couldn't record during the day.

• Builders in MATN HQ doing essential repairs because there wasn't enough drilling from outside, obviously.

• A whole cluster of family birthdays and other personal commitments.

• The launch of the Fallout TV show and the Fallout 4 Next Gen update, which were both very relevant to the channel.

Basically, the last few months have been a bit frantic, and it's been only just barely possible to keep up with the regular schedule, hence why the Patroncast and PodCats have both been quiet.

So, thankfully, I decided the sensible thing to do now is have a quiet month or two with no major events in it, so I could calm down and catch up.

Nah, just kidding, we just adopted two kittens today. A small local animal charity suddenly rescued a litter of abandoned kittens that needed homes, and the fosterer they were staying with just happened to have two large bark-y dogs, so they were very used to the odd bit of woofing, so it was just rather meant-to-be. They are 8 weeks old and very cute.

They are currently unnamed, but this is Codename Titanium;

 Next, we have Codename Tungsten;

 They are sisters and love each other a lot;

 And, don't worry, as this is a bit of an event for Ted too, he's getting lots of extra treats and toys to help ease along the changes. His T-Rex toy is very cool;

 Basically, we spent the last 2 weeks trying to get as far ahead as possible with videos so Claire & I could both take some days off this week to help make the arrival of the kittens as smooth as possible, which was moderately successful. We'll both have to do a little bit of work over the next few days, but really not that much - we can mostly focus on Ted, Titanium and Tungsten.

So here's the plan - I'm going to really try to get the next Patroncast out in mid-June. Probably the 10th or the 17th. As the submission thread has been open for so long, there are a lot of questions, so it'll be an extra long one. After that, I'll get a PodCats done. Then we'll try to get things back to normal over the summer.

Sorry for the inconvenience - it's been a wild few months, but we're going to do anything we can to get everything back to normal soon.
