A little change

I say "illustrated story" and not "comic" because I'm trying something different this time. When I started working on "Dating", I worried that I wouldn't be able to finish it, like my few previous projects. But something that helped a lot was writing the entire thing as a gainer fic first – after that, the difficulty and delays had more to do with how intricate the pages were, and with real life taking up my time, not with making story decisions. The main obstacles were laying out multi-panel pages, and compressing whole walls of text.
Seeing how well "Dating" turned out, how much fun I had when I only focused on writing, and how people enjoyed the fic before seeing any of the art, I've decided to lean into writing prose – though the art is going nowhere. My new story, called "Slacker", is already quite far along as a gainer fic, and I think it's turning out to be a really fun read. I won't bother breaking it down into full, multi-panel comic book pages, though – instead, I'll post each of its chapters with a full-colour illustration with speech bubbles, close to the style of "Tommy".
Depending on how "Slacker" goes, this might be the default mode of future projects. Your feedback will be taken into account, of course!
