KPOP DEMON HUNTERS: Movie Reaction!! (Early Uncut Access)

OKAY this was so good hahaha <3

Comments

some very beautiful scenes in this movie... only sad that at the end its "only" a change from one idol to other idols. Humans just dont seems to can living without it in some way.

Giuseppe

Loved this movie and the songs. I had to look up Twice myself and loved their music, which led me to Blackpink too. Currently obsessed with Blackpink, they have been dominating my playlists as of recently, and I'm loving it. I saw the live performance on Fallon the other night with EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI. It was awesome. I think it would be great if they started releasing music together. They sound amazing together.

Jersey Rick

Just watched this reaction, was doomscrolling through TikTok, and saw this. Flexie is apparently not the only one who thought it was BlackPink. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8BcK8MA/

We all want Rumi's parents backstory. Loved the reaction s2

Carol Travaglia

I did not know u had a second channel

Miguel

If you do the research on the movie, the ones that do the singing for the Huntrix characters Ejae wrote three of the songs and is the voice of Rumi. She also did all the harmonies and helped with different parts of the songs.

Hey Flexie, great reaction, I was just wondering how we could get a version with full opacity for the screen, I'm actually struggling to watch cuz I don't see the scenes very well... :/ I mean, I don't wanna be mean about it really, but I just paid to see your reaction, and Naruto is on the screen the entire time xD

I think I read somewhere that the movie was originally supposed to belonger, but they had to shorten it due to budget restrictions, don't know if that info is 100% accurate. But still, I also have this feeling that a lot of different (and somewhat interesting) plots were teased never to be explained in the move.

Blyzr666

It's great, but that's also it's weakness. It's too short. Yes, it's packed together very well, but there are things I want to know after watching it. Were Rumi's father and mother in relationship, one-time or the very bad-time? - one of the gajillion questions I have. Characters are barely developed. Enough for the movie maybe, but I feel like it would be better if it was like 8 x 20 minute episodes or even more. Still pretty great that it's one big flaw is that it's too short.

Jan Negrey

From what I understand each of the Saja Boys excluding Jinu represent an aspect of the Kpop industry like Abby shows how kpop idols are sexualized, mystery is supposed to be how people will stalk them and they have no privacy etc.

Taithos

If I may just say, I loved your mini-bio at the beginning but you omitted the only credential you ever need: You danced Odile! Didn't you? I'm sure Ive seen you doing that. That's amazing! That's kinda the pinnacle. Do you know anything about dancing? I danced Odile. 'Nuff said. Sorry lol. That's the one I always think of. You may be more proud of a different one of your multitude of accomplishments but, to me, that's incredible. The movie said you should be proud and shine so I'm just reminding you ;-)

At 36:23 the demon Saja Boy who wins the hot sauce drinking game is referred to as Baby Saja. I didn't think of this before but, is that a reference to the Spice Girls in a K-Pop movie? It doesn't seem likely to me, but... They are having a Spicey sauce drinking competition The host keeps repeating, "Spicey! Spicey!" Group - Saja Boys Group - Spice Girls Member - Baby Saja Member - Baby Spice I rest my case lol. OK, it could be coincidence: the spicey sauce thing is just a parody of the many YouTubers who challenge people to eat chicken with hot sauce on it. The whole thing could be coincidence but I thought it was interesting. Does K=Pop have some connection with The Spice Girls? I'm not a fan of either so I have no idea but it really seems unlikely to me. Maybe the writer just likes the Spice Girls and snuck it in secretly just for fun? What do you think?

Caradoc Elmet

i'll be so down watching u react to twice! and i do agree some of the songs in this movie are soo Blackpink coded especially How its done and Takedown and it makes total sense cause the songs were written by Teddy who also makes Blackpink songs! also the choreographies in the movie were also made by Lee Jung who have also choregraphed Blackpink songs! also Twice did amazing!

Noble

Flexie choreo short? Would be fun to watch her dance

Alex

I don't know if anyone else has made this suggestion. Since you mentioned it, I would like to invite you to go down the rabbit hole that is Beatpella House (Korean beatbox group). - Black Pink - Venom cover - https://youtu.be/YeZVXXfQD40?si=_Ct8sn-d0FxnJETm - K-Pop Medly - https://youtu.be/NZRzO4LrWkA?si=AipKUKa_gwQTK74u

I saw your reaction on Youtube and decided to check it out but immediately knew I wanted to watch the uncut version of it. You were incredibly fun to watch react to this movie. I almost think it was better that you had a tiny bit of Kpop background in watching Blackpink and also not too much background. Totally felt like I was showing a friend the movie, you have a great personality and catch most of the nuance of the story. Thanks for the great time, and I hope you check out Twice like others have said, they are in my top 5 favorite music groups.

Alex Makk

I really love if you're gonna reacting to TWICE. They're amazing group that actually sing proper women empowerment song in their latest comeback. They began sing cute love song in their earlier era but transitioned to mature vibes smoothly. Also don't be deceived by their cute/bright song, cause their lyrics are deceptively dark/relatable.

Crimson

A little info dump on TWICE 🙂 TWICE is a 9 member girl group & debuted in 2015. Their group name “TWICE” means the group will touch the audience’s heart twice with their music; once through their music (ears) & once again through their visuals (eyes). The song “Takedown” in this movie is actually only sung by 3 members out of the 9; Jihyo (Leader & Main Vocalist) Jeongyeon (Lead Vocalist) & Chaeyoung (Main Rapper & Sub Vocalist), so you’re only getting 1/3 of the groups talent 😉 Kinda funny how you mentioned that their music (based from this movie) reminds you of BLACKPINK when they’re both actually the quite opposite! KPOP groups always have this “group concept” meaning the main color of the group’s music and visual. During TWICE’s earlier years, they were more of a “bright & cute/bubblegum pop” concept so their song were more cheerful, vibrant & youthful. But as time went by their songs and concept has changed and matured, but their songs are always catchy and you can’t deny it!! As for BLACKPINK they have a “girl crush” concept so their music were always showcasing confidence & women empowerment and came out with music that are a banger that is edm, hip hop & trap influenced. Hopefully this helped a bit, but hope to see you react to some KPOP in the future!

Julia

This is my first time being a Patreon member, and it falls to you with this movie. I especially want to see your tears. But nope. It's okay; I love your reaction anyway. I'm looking forward to another.

Supasin Sintook

I 100% support if you got into reacting to Twice content and songs. They really are an amazing group

Toni Pabon

twice is an amazing girl group and was in the industry before blackpink. i like blackpink more and they went more popular worldwide but all of kpop really respects twice theyre really good i never heard them sing like blackpink before

makima

Woah! This was really good! 🤩 Glad to have seen it with you Flexie!!

at the end there its not a golden honmoon but a rainbow one. The golden honmoon represent only the good but hides the bad of you. It was falling apart and Rumi said shes didnt want to protect something like that and she gonna make a new one. Now with all the colors (rainbow) i think its represent acceptance of oneself and a much stronger barrier than the old "golden" honmoon.

Thanh Nguyen

I kinda want the sequel to be a dual prequel/sequel to KPop Demon Hunters. Here's how I thought it would go: It would start with a “where are they now” moment for Huntrix, showing the aftermath of their last battle. But then the story shifts into a prequel, diving into the origins of the Sunshine Sisters—their rise, their bond, and how it all fell apart especially after Rumi's Mom's death (and what we were told happened). Then we jump back to the present: Huntrix, Celine, and a new threat—the Demon King, plotting his revenge, resurrecting corrupted souls for one final fight. Remember, at the end of the last movie, it wasn’t a Golden Honmoon they created—it was just a new one that now has to be maintained. That fragile balance leaves room for darkness to resurface. In the sequel's present-day storyline, we discover that everyone who was corrupted or died without embracing their shame is now trapped by the Demon King—including Rumi’s mom. She’s still dead (there needs to be finality), but something shifts: her soul starts surfacing, and Celine and Rumi uncover the truth. Turns out, Rumi’s mom didn’t die by accident. She tried to save Rumi. And Celine—she had to kill Rumi's mom. She’s carried that shame ever since, denying herself the right to feel anything. That’s why she’s cold, why she can’t face herself. Only when Rumi and her mother confront it head-on does the healing begin. I could also see Bobby, the manager, retiring—or even dying. His absence creates instability. There's no one who clicks with the trio the way he did, and the fear of flaming out or breaking up starts to fester. That’s when Rumi’s mom resurfaces. But not as herself. She’s now leading a rival band—an intentional antithesis to the Sunshine Sisters. Maybe they’re called the Moonshade Mothers, Shadow Sisters, or Crescent Coven. Dark, demonic, graceful. The twist? She has no memory of Rumi, buried in her shame that she killed her loved one (Rumi's dad) and never forgave herself. The Demon King is just feeding snippets instead of the whole forgotten story. This shatters Rumi: “Why doesn’t she remember me? Why doesn’t she love me?” That breakdown forces Celine to finally reveal everything—her role in the past, the burden she’s carried, and the truth about Rumi’s mom’s sacrifice. And then, the three are united in a song. A song that captures each of their truths: “The lost one who has forgotten — herself. (Rumi’s mom) The lost one who was forgotten — by the world. (Celine) And the one who can't accept her loss — of her family, who she came from ” (Rumi) This becomes the emotional climax of : Remember who you are (Rumi's mom, regaining her memories), Remember who you were (Celine, regaining her passion), Remember your who you are meant to be — from past present and future. (Rumi, accepting that the memories/dreams of the past aren't always a burden to drag with you forcefully, but they are a responsibility, and can be a gift of hope to carry it forward like her mom and Celine eventually did.) Rumi accepts her mother is truly gone, as she fades away at the end of song, and sets her soul free. Her mom remembers her love and finds peace. And Celine? She realizes she didn’t just keep a promise—she became Rumi’s found family, her second mom. By the end, Celine stops pretending to be the perfect, corporate, shame-ridden version of herself. She finally breathes. And with Bobby gone, Celine becomes Huntrix’s new manager—the only one besides him who truly understands them. She doesn’t try to hide their flaws. She trains and guides them through them, making them stronger as hunters and idols. I think this would make an amazing sequel—full of heart, pain, redemption, and music that heals.

Teddy Park, the Blackpink writer/producer, was a producer on the airplane song and "golden"

Ari

could be a good sequel movie though, ending with the birth of rumi and celine taking care of her. Maybe the story beat is that rumi's mom and her dad fell in love but things went wrong, and celine was constantly vocal and arguing about hating demons and "doing it like the previous generation" (generational trauma that she never fully got out of) and ending with her giving in to take care of rumi when she could have killed her in the end, and then end the movie with one of the songs of this movie (the hunters song), to act as a prequel to this one.

Cyber

Flexie backstory as well! This was a gem! You a beast Flexie!

Christopher Velasquez

I was wondering fi you were going to watch this Flexie, for a while my daughter has been like "Dada, there is a movie coming out called K-Pop Demon hunters, and I can't wait to watch it with you" I was not prepared for how damn god it was lol! I was actually going to recommend it to you on here but then saw you had posted this lol

Christopher Velasquez

React to slam dunk 🏀movie 🎬 next. Please.

Harpreet Chahal

This was amazing, I need to watch this with my daughter.

Roy Meulblok

Im so glad you liked this, I was also surprised I liked it so much. Also, when is a Silent Voicereaction coming out?

Phillip Leong

Flexie in her kpop era? 👀

Kai

it's not really a gripe but the one thing I wish we got was more backstory on Rumi's mom and dad and Celine. I understand why they didn't go into it though so like I said not a gripe more like a wish list item. If this had been a Netflix series like Jentry Chau though and we didn't get that backstory I think I would've taken issue

Rachel Mae

I remember seeing this movie's title when it came out and was like this just seems bizarre, lets see wtf they did this time, was pleasantly surprised it ended up being a pretty fun movie :D

Kisame

there was the tiniest hint of doubt for what you were about to watch at the beginning. it was immediately gone after the intro. Glad to see you enjoyed!

bauccoboy

great movie! idk if you've done kpop stuff before but it's really good music and some cool groups/events and dances. the community is crazy though so just be ready for it all

Christian Clark

Kacee Lee

And Twice is the Kpop group that sings all the girl songs you can see them at the end of the movie singing the songs and you can also see the word Twice multiple in the leaderboard in the beginning of the movie

Hamse99

The character I like the least in the movie was Celine cause she could never truly accept Rumi witch made everything so much worse and letting Rumi keep that secret to herself was never a good idea

Hamse99

the tigers name is derpy fyi

Abracalabrador

This movie was so good, kpop dance practice reactions mayhaps? Also TWICE is an amazing group definitely buying their new album coming out

Wing

As a old kpop fan and a music lover, this movie very excited for me especially Jinu helping Rumi by sacrifice himself is actually breaks my heart. The Sodapop, Your idol, Golden, free and What it sounds like song is the best for me (I love all the song but these my favorite) 반응이 너무 좋아요🤩 1시간 25분을 전부 즐겁게 감상했습니다! 다들 너무 귀여워 ㅋㅋㅋ
