I actually think that they are. I think that with the boom of Thai BL, Japan has started to create more BL since there is such a large market for it. I know for example that Old Fashioned Cupcake did very well in Japan. As did Cherry Magic, Kieta Hatsukoi, My Beautiful Man, and now also Minato’s Laundromat. I’m sure Takara-kun & Amagi-kun are doing well too.

2022-10-22 22:31:47 +0000 UTCAn end of an era to another amazing Japanese BL series. I like to think that Tanaka was taking notes from Takara-kun and Amagi-kun for his BL series, Eternal Yesterday. Which I can’t wait for you two to start reacting to it. It’s VERY different from your typical fluffy Japanese BL series, but nonetheless a beautiful one I think, based on the first episode I watched.

The friend that read the novel tell me she was choked by the beginning, but then the story become fluffy and funny, but in certain point she started to cry violently and ...(ok, no spoilers for ending), in any way the story was very amazing and beautiful.
