Let's Talk Streaming Station

I am not sure if this is a tuning issue or modeling or what... so I will just lay it out there. The drones (at least the cute ones not the aircraft looking ones,) get stuck off of the property if you start jogging or leave the "lot." But you aren't entering a loading screen or a rabbithole. Which you think no big deal go get it. Problem is you can't find them. I have taken to making mine bright pink so I have a chance of zooming out and finding it. So that is a problem. Don't have a question really but maybe it will impact your design. I am not sure if you are messing with drones though. I almost wish they had a dock. Like a Roomba vac. I know that pets has one, but I have never used it so not sure its design. But the dock would act as an anchor so you won't have to keep buying new drones. Side note. Just adding a comp to that station is <3 of you.

I've always had this wish that there was a streaming camera with the ability to stream/record like the drone. I just want to be able to put a camera set up near a tv to stream. Sigh

ok update!! so i made the computer have an "invisible desk". right now i have it so the streaming computer comes by itself and when u put it on the desk, it actually slots to the chair (weird i know, but you all wont notice it). then it has its own chair slot so everything will line up with the desk right. but u will still need a regular computer somewhere else. but at least this gives u the option to use the computer with any desk/chair

I am already excited about being able to put it anywhere and being able to take the camera in my inventory! :) You are only one person with a finite amount of time and you do SO much already <3

wow! what a funny way they had to do it. Would there be a way to edit the object so it looks like there's a second monitor and it doesn't have the bend in the desk but the second monitor is actually the computer that handles the normal computer functions? I don't know if that would be harder or easier, but then it could all be on one normal size/shape desk? Idk, does that make sense to do even? or I don't even know if you're looking to troubleshoot/suggestions oop

however, the streaming computer is a beast. i tried adding those functions to a regular computer, or a regular computer to the streaming computer and i cant get either to work without spending weeks on it. the reason its such a pain is because the streaming computer comes with the desk, and therefore the slot for the chair. so unlike a computer which isnt tied to the chair, everything on the streaming computer is (it is basically a desk). i was able to make an "invisible" desk so you can put the streaming computer on any desk u want. it will look just like a regular computer. but u still will need a seperate computer for regular computer stuff :(

ok so i have been working on this and i ran into a few limitations. but first, what i did get working is the stream area: https://imgur.com/a/uhI9w9c so i made a floor version and a desk version. its just this camrea. it can also go in your inventory so you can take it anywhere!

I think for the computer I like the whole editing set up going on with the one in game, so I'd be happy if you just added normal pc interactions and then we could put it on whatever desk? the tower might not be able to be included though, cause not all the desks are empty below. I like both ideas of the filming set up going in a computer slot or a deco, because I can see myself putting it in a different place all together so the sim has a cute background and I can add extra like moschino lights and stuff, but also for more chill people the deco slot works because not every content creator goes huge production like that so they'd need it at their desk. My preference would probably be a deco slot then skdflksj Idk if you wanted stream of conciousness as I reasoned out my opinions but that's apparently what I'm doing XD <3 I'm so hyped for this! I can't wait to see what you come up with and how magical and amazing it will be! <3 <3

Hello. There is a mod (I think by Ravasheen?) that allows you to make any desk a vanity. This way you're not limited.

Love this! I like using the "Apply Makeup" interaction on the vanities but the EA ones are so ugly. Can we get a cuter, smaller vanity? Or maybe you can make a bigger one with slots for the tripod and computer that you described in this post

How about some camera equipments deco that bloggers/streamers tend to use? If I am a person who uses my camera/DSLR often, I would place my camera on a specific shelf and probably leave all my equipment on that same shelf ahah (Hopefully my explanation is ok &gt;&lt; Not very good in expressing my thoughts)

well the object itself will be BGC! so u can place it, u just wont be able to use it for recording videos :)

Honestly just having the camera free of that gigantic desk would be an improvement of epic proportions, I would be willing to deal with awkward slot placement/having to fiddle with OMSP if it meant the camera was free from that insane desk. As for the computer, if you're able to, having the video options on regular computers would be *amazing*, though it would still be awesome if you added regular computer options to the video computer. As you said, *who* has a separate computer just for making videos and streaming? Nobody, lol. Good job, EA. As long as whatever you do doesn't take up half the room like the EA one currently does I would be beyond ecstatic, seriously EA. What if someone wants to be a streamer/youtuber and live in a tiny house???
