Riptide + ChiLi Comic Artstyle Update

An update on the artstyle of the remaked ChiLi comic! It was erased along with the files that got destroyed and I've decided to do it again from the old sketches- but with my current artstyle, the old sketches just do not hold up in quality anymore. I've moved forward with the progress quite a bit but I've decided to share the base sketches as an update. The new pages are also vertically bigger than the old ones.

The recent post on my twt is the ChiLi Riptide art, yeah? The sketch for this actually wasn't standalone, it was part of the comic! While recreating the old sketches, I thought that part looks quite nice so I decided to make it a standalone illustration.

リメイクしたChiLiコミックのアートスタイルについてのアップデート！破壊されたファイルと一緒に消されてしまったので、古いスケッチからやり直すことにしたんだ。でも、今の僕のアートスタイルでは、古いスケッチはもうクオリティを保てないんだ。かなり前進したけど、アップデートとしてベースとなるスケッチを共有することにした。

新しいページは古いページよりも縦に大きくなっている。俺のツィッターに最近投稿されたのは、ChiLi Riptideのアートだよ。実はこのスケッチは単体ではなく、コミックの一部だったんだ！スケッチしているうちに、その部分がなかなかいい感じだと思ったので、独立したイラストにすることにしたんだ。

Since then I've had multiple model and aesthetic changes- apologies for making you wait! Although the loss of the almost finished comic is sad, I hope the updated artstyle makes up for it 🙏. Hopefully I finish it soon finally!
