Eros Academy 1.8(Beta)

Okay, it's here! Yay! 

Having said that...

First thing is first - There is currently a known pair of bugs that I haven't been able to get rid of. Neither are game breaking, but one is somewhat annoying.

Update - I've fixed these two bugs, any new copies downloaded should be okay. If you're a sane person and want to fix a copy you already have without downloading the whole game again, grab THIS FILE and extract the script file inside into the "game" folder of Eros Academy. If you're putting it in the right place, you should be asked to overwrite. Do so, obviously. That SHOULD fix the bugs, as there were no changes to anything but the script file. It fixed the copy I tried it on. Let me know if it doesn't, for some reason. 

 FIXED Bug 1: You won't really even see this one. Something in Naomi's "No" animation, refusing a date, is busted. For the life of me I can't figure out what the @#^$ Renpy is doing with a super simple 3-render animation loop that is breaking things, doubly so since it worked before and I didn't change anything in that code this time. For the moment, I simply commented the animation out, so you'll just get text if she turns you down.

FIXED Bug 2: For some reason, the new "Naomi's Arousal" stat is overwriting the general "Arousal" stat display after you've been on the new date. I'm using the EXACT same code as I used for the beach date, which didn't have this problem, so I spent about an hour pulling my hair out trying to fix it. (This is, in fact, what caused the additional 1+ hour of delay. Ultimately, I had to give up on figuring it out for the moment if I wanted to release tonight. So, right now it's bugged. I'll work on fixing it sometime in the next few days (along with anything else that you guys spot.)

To be perfectly blunt...if those are the only two bugs I'd be utterly shocked. So PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF COOKIES, report any bugs you find in the comments HERE. Not on a forum, I don't go to them anymore and won't see the bugs if you list them there.

One Final Less Important Note: Currently, the chat options for the date are...boring. The reason for this is that I realized as I was coding over the last few days that I had something of a problem. The chat options were always intended to build more character detail, slowly, so as I'm not ramming it down your throat but you still get a better feel for the character if you want it. Unfortunately, I realized that I'm currently not forcing the player to go on dates in a specific order. Oh, there's a difficulty order, but no hard-coded forced pattern. Unfortunately, this means I can't tell if a given player has seen previous chat dialogs so that new ones make sense. Keeping track of them individually would be a nightmare. As such, I need to either force a specific pattern of dates, or else make the chat progression independent of where the chat is activated. I'm not sure which, if either, I'm going to go with. Ergo, for the moment, you get fairly boring chats in the new Naomi Café date that do their purpose but don't really entertain you...sorry!

New Stuff:

This version of Eros Academy focuses on a second date for Naomi, where you can invite her to the same nearby Café that you can take Lily to. This new date uses a new variation of the dating mechanic, though the difference from her beach date is minor. Instead of a "Date Score" your objective this time is to arouse Naomi enough that she invites you home!

New Things Include

Almost 70 new renders. With multiple new animations throughout the new content. 

Approximately 10 new actions you can do with/to Naomi in the Café itself. 

Five different ways you can end the night(positively) if you get her to invite you home.

1 New Location(Naomi's Kick ass Apartment)

1 New NPC with a sex scene(Alison the Barista)

The first scenes ONLY ACCESSIBLE IF YOU'RE A MEMBER of the Exhibitionist Group. For the first time, there will be new options on the date if you're a member of that club ;-).

I'm seriously burned out after working on the code for 4 days. I honestly hate coding, and Renpy's weirdness makes it worse. Aside from poking the bug and fixing any major issues you lot report, I'll be taking several days off before beginning to round of polling for what the next update will focus on.
