A Quick Update for the Month's Short Story
Added 2017-11-30 22:29:28 +0000 UTCOkay...so Jaylee did get me PART of the short story to look over. The first 3-thousand words or so. She also claims she's feeling better (if you missed it, I mentioned in the last post that she's been sick) and she's hoping to get the rest done today. I've got my doubts she'll completely manage that...she bit off more than she could chew with this one again and I could easily see it running a fair bit longer than the normal 5k word goal. Plus, it takes a couple of days to go through our editing process.
Net result? It's going to be late :-(. I'm sorry, I REALLY hate it when I have to say that. If I'd been sure it would happen, I might have whipped up a Mixed Media Short, as that only takes 3 days or so, but I had thought we were good this month. We would have been, too, if she hadn't fallen ill, the material she has it pretty good so far, even despite being high on cough syrup when she wrote some of it. We'll do our best to keep the delay to a bare minimum, hopefully getting it out by the 2nd at the absolute latest.
Again, I'm so sorry! I always feel terrible when I don't hit reward deadlines :-(. You guys are awesome for supporting me and it bothers me a lot when this happens. Unfortunately, in this case there is literally nothing I can do. The only thing I could even think of was to include a few teaser shots from the next release, just for you guys. They're actually higher res than what the game uses. I occasionally have to render at 2560x1440 to fix lighting artifacts.
