โœจ๐Ÿฆ‰New Art//Winged Watcher

With sharp eyes and majestic wings, perched in the heart of the forest, surveying the night with a watchful gaze. It seemed otherworldly, a creature born of the shadows, its secrets known only to the moon and the stars.

๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ‘€ Another birb appears! This ๐Ÿฆ‰ started out as a quick little study and of course I shifted part way through and turned it into a darker ๐ŸŽจ that is in a similar vein to Pensive Blue. But I kinda like it. ๐Ÿ’• I might want to try putting it on a black t-shirt or something! It is totally the kind of design I would wear. ๐Ÿ‘• What do you guys think?

Ah thanks for the tips! I'll need to test these out on my next piece ๐Ÿ’–

Gotcha, yeah, the procreate brushes are really nice but they don't look exactly the same as the clip studio brush that I use. It is harder to get the really solid watercolor edge, even with the watercolor pack. The brushes that I have liked using from that pack for some watercolor pieces in procreate are the: watercolor detail brushes, the Flood Clean, Flood shredded and Watercolor Bloom. To get a stronger edge in some areas, i have to just paint over the edge with a smaller brush so that it layers the color. And if you need the brushes to not multiply (like if you are wanting to paint a lighter color on top(even if that's not how watercolor works) it requires painting on a new layer and then you can merge it back down as needed. I do think that pack is one that has given me the most realstic traditional looking watercolor, especially with the cold press paper texture and the splatter brushes. They are absolutely fabulous. But it is a tricky pack to use that takes a lot of practice. Even I don't feel like I am 100 percent comfortable with it even though I love it.

This does make perfect sense!

Ooooh! I love Labyrinth too so that makes me happy to hear! Thank you Erin!!

ChrissaBug

Thanks! Clearly because all secrets happen at night when only the moon and stars are watching. ;D

ChrissaBug

Very nice! Not your normal style but turned out great. I do have a question tho... why does the moon know ALL the secrets? ;-)

FrozenYack

Yes, that's right, I have tested all of the brushes in the pack but I can't seem to find any that act the same way as yours do when I watch tutorials. Maybe I'm using them wrong! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I love the color detail too! Itโ€™s kind of giving me Labyrinth vibes, which is one of my favorite movies. This would be awesome on a T-shirt! ๐Ÿค

Erin

Thank you so much!!๐Ÿ–ค

ChrissaBug

This is amazingโค๏ธ

Thank you! Ooo! So are you saying that you do have the max pack watercolor pack in procreate that you are using? If so, I can check which of those brushes I normally use for the watercolor look in procreate. I just canโ€™t remember which off the top of my head

ChrissaBug

Love the colour detail on this, you must be using some sort of watercolour brush? I always feel my art looks too "flat" and I struggled to find a brush I liked on Maxpack as i'm on procreate. Would love to know what brush you would reccomend ๐Ÿ˜†
