Re. pulling it together because it's James Bond; that's what makes Casino Royale and this film different (and to my mind, better) despite the retention of the groaner quips: character growth, relationships, emotions, and loss, in contrast to the usual caricatures with tongue firmly in cheek.

In previous movies MI6 faked his death or allegedly died to only come back later. No Time to Die is the first film where he dies on screen and it is indisputable.
