Ryan Gosling’s only getting bigger and Angourie Rice, who played his daughter is becoming a bigger star as well. Just found out she’s Australian by the way. This is one of the better movies of the past 10 years. Shane Black’s no stranger to sequels and he set it up perfectly for one. Hollywood’s just a different place than it used to be 20 years ago. :-( Some more Shane Black films to see, that he wrote… The Monster Squad (1987)… Fun kids Monster movie. Pretty scary too. The Last Boy Scout (1991)… Buddy Action Flick, directed by Tony Scott, starring Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans Last Action Hero (1993)… Buddy Cop Action Parody, directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard, Predator), starring Arnold Schwarzenegger The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)… directed by Renny Harlin, starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Highly Recommended. Has Coby seen L.A. Confidential (1997)? She made no connection that this was a reunion of Russell Crowe, Kim Basinger and Los Angeles. From what I’ve seen, Coby likes Crime and Investigative films. This is a Must Watch if not seen. Since this film was set in 1977, it made me think… Coby has seen Star Wars (1977) and is scheduled to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977). Those were the Highest and Third Highest grossing films of 1977, respectively. Maybe add the Second Highest grossing film, Smokey and the Bandit (1977) to her schedule. It’s a Real Fun movie, that has the same Fun Spirit of the new Fall Guy movie, which I’m sure She loved when She saw it. ;-)
