Ann Progress
Added 2017-10-10 17:29:58 +0000 UTCI've been a little quiet due to multiple birthdays and Thanksgiving dinners... Here is some Ann progress - high tiers will get to see more, including me wearing it. ^^
Ohhh dear... So I finally got tired of fighting my feet through extremely tight ankles that popped threads every time I put it on and took it off. I also found that my knees did not appreciate kneeling on zippers that weren't even visible once the boots were worn (apart from an unsightly zipper indent all the way up my calves).
So in a moment of madness, I started hacking the legs off - while I was still wearing it, of course. I left a little extra zipper for the time being just so it doesn't undo itself before I finish off the legs. It looks pretty damn goofy worn by itself, but my legs rejoice!
I also took in the sides and the crotch of the suit a tad to make things a little more snug. The crotch is still pretty sad... I think I will actually have to reconstruct the whole thing to fit me better, and by that point, I will probably lose flexibility. I think I shall leave it the way it is for now and just arrange it in photos. xD
I also continued my exploration with the boot cover pattern. It's coming along quite nicely... I keep adjusting it to fit my shoe better, but might need to start over as it is rather tight across the top of my foot nearer my toes. Good thing I got a lot and only started with one boot!
I cut the top off of one of the old boot covers to use as a guide for the cuff of her boots. Poor Miccostumes Ann is being abused this month! Since I am probably restarting this cover, I may make it all one seamless piece like they were originally.
