La página doble/ The splash page

Todo libro que se precie debe tener una splash page, o doble página, he visto muchas y muy buenas, yo he querido en el tercer libro autoeditado de Trizia que tenga una también, lo tenia pendiente.

En anteriores posts me habéis preguntado que algunos de vosotros os quedan los fondos muy simples o poco detallados, ante esto os diré otro de mis trucos: fotografiar.

Las peripecias de Trizia están basadas en mis vivencias y viajes y en los viajes yo soy muy de hacer fotos, en concreto para este fin, ya que luego los empleo a la hora de hacer una determinada página ya una doble página con una catedral o una página sola donde por ejemplo se desarrolle en un pub o bar.

Para la splash page la foto la busqué en Google ( exacto, si no tenéis fotos propias podéis buscar en internet que esta todo) y tan solo tenéis que dibujar el lugar en cuestión.

Depende tambien del dibujante, los hay muy minimalistas o por el contrario como yo superdetallistas que le gusta dibujar hasta el último detalle, como en el segundo libro de Trizia que me dibujé la Plaza de España de Sevilla y acabé harto de hacer arcos XD.

En definitiva depende del estilo y de cada dibujante pero si quieres que tus fondos tengan detalles fotografia en tus viajes, documenta cualquier cosa, interiores, exteriores, árboles, paisajes urbanos, lo que sea, el caso es dibujarlos a tu estilo y como mas cómodo te encuentres ;)

Some books may have a splash page, or double-page spread. I've seen many excellent ones. I've been wanting to add one to Trizia's third self-published book, which I've been meaning to do. In previous posts, you've asked me that some of you find the backgrounds too simple or lacking in detail. So, let me tell you another of my tricks: photographing.

Trizia's adventures are based on my experiences and travels, and I'm a big fan of taking photos when traveling, specifically for this purpose, as I then use them when creating a specific page, a double-page spread with a cathedral, or a single page where, for example, the scene takes place in a pub or bar. For the splash page, I searched for the photo on Google (exactly, if you don't have your own photos, you can search online, where everything is available), and all you have to do is draw the location in question.

It also depends on the artist. Some are very minimalist, or on the contrary, like me, super-detailed, who likes to draw down to the last detail. Like in Trizia's second book, where I drew the Plaza de España in Seville and ended up fed up with making arches. XD Ultimately, it depends on the style and the artist, but if you want your backgrounds to have details, take photographs of your travels, document anything: interiors, exteriors, trees, cityscapes, whatever.
