Added 2018-08-19 05:20:09 +0000 UTC STRETCH MARKS. Why are they so "bad" ? Some guys think they should have a preference on them, Some women feel ashamed of them or embarrassed and want to hide them. Society says they're wrong. They're so natural! Growing up through puberty I remember getting stretch marks on the sides of my butt and I was so freaked out. I thought my butt was ruined forever and that somehow it was my fault. My mom told me that it wasn't my fault, it happens and you cant really avoid it. Women's bodies are made to grow BABIES in them. Women are supposed to fluctuate in size and skin is meant to stretch it's nothing to be ashamed of, and she showed me her's on her body after getting pregnant with me. Ever since then I was still hesitant on my marks, but had an open mind and didn't feel insecure about them when my other girlfriends would talk and compare to each other because I knew so many girls had them and it was normal.
When we all did this shoot the chatter in the room was nervous at first like "oh yeah I have so many right here" and "oh god, well I have them here" and after they were all done being painted with the glitter, I started hearing things like "wow I feel gorgeous" and "my stretch marks have never made me feel so pretty before" and "ok NOW I like them". Something that can be so touchy for so many girls (and guys) should not be swept under the rug or unaddressed. It should be CELEBRATED. Lets talk about it! It's just skin doing it's thing! Bodies are gorgeous and they're all different and shouldn't be compared to others. You are the only you and you need to learn to LOVE that person ♥️
