Perfect Girlfriend [v.0.3.1]: Love is Brewing

BWUGH. This month MIGHT be one of the most hectic ones I've had in a really long time. First came Anthrocon, then a fight with covid over a week, and THEN getting my roommate moved out of my apartment, and a few little emotional up-and-downs to season July for taste.

If I didn't have so much work written up ahead of time I'm unsure if I would have been able to publish this update on time, and for that matter, I'm worried I might require more time in order to finish writing/implementing all the bat-related content. Maybe an extra two weeks? I'll have to see how everything shakes out-- my secret to success is pacing myself and not crunching in order to meet deadlines.

In any case, here's the next big update for Perfect Girlfriend! It was meant to tide y'all over until the next major content patch for the main game drops, but honestly, designing it has given me a bunch of great ideas for how to better flesh out PG just in general. I feel like I have a better grasp on the scope of the project, where its end goal lies, and all the content I can write for it going forward.

For this update, the biggest mention is two features I've added: the ability to brew potions, and the ability to change/choose your gender! Felicity can now be an ACTUAL girlfriend! If you buy Verdure and craft a gender TF potion, you can change your gender retroactively; I intend to add ways you can gain Verdure through scenes normally, like in Perfect Home, but I simply didn't have the time to write out new encounters where that'd be possible. Maybe next time! In the interim, you can now play as a female-- at some point I'd love to add in the option for Citrine to be female as well, but that'll take a lot of time and effort I simply don't have at present.

I've also added in a handful of new scenes/encounters for you to play with while I work on Perfect Home, a new latex bodysuit costume to make for every build of the game, and ANOTHER new costume for the Practitioner-tier build, where you can play as a kitsune! I also replaced/added in some art. I plan to commission a few good friends for more work on the project, so that I can regularly update Perfect Girlfriend alongside Perfect Home.

A lot of this update is mostly to lay the groundwork for the Approval system and potion mixing-- I hope to flesh out all of the features introduced in 0.3.2, which, ideally, I'll be releasing some time over the next few months!

That's about it for now, at least in terms of news regarding PG! Progress on Flores' encounters have been coming along smoothly, and I've commissioned a lovely friend for some of the full-screen art you can expect to see in this bat's appropriate bad-ends. I haven't finished ALL of their dating content just yet, let alone pre-training scenes like their hunt or their bad-end, but a lot of the supplemental content for AFTER you own Flores, like End of Day scenes & shed scenes, are completely done!

I'll let you know how I develop the rest of their scenes in the discord as per usual. Thank you all for your patience! I'm really happy to be getting so much done on my various projects this year and, like always, I really wouldn't be able to do any of it if I didn't have the support of everyone reading this. PATCH NOTES:

• You can now choose to play as a girl!

• You can now craft a gender TF potion! This only applies to Felicity at the moment, but in the future you can (convince Citrine to) use it on other servants in the future.

• You can now craft a love potion! The stat it increases, Master's Approval, will be given a function in a future update.

• Verdure can be purchased from Citrine's chest. In the future, a way of gaining Verdure from scenes will be added, similar to the main game.

• You can now craft a new costume: a latex bodysuit!

• Added in a new scene for exploring the forest with Citrine.

• Begun laying the groundwork for casual intimacy with fellow servants. At the moment, you can only engage in a scene with your Master, Citrine.

• Changed out/added new art to the End of Day encounters!

• Practitioner-tier or higher patrons can play with a new kitsune costume! This won't affect scenes yet, but by next update, Felicity will be referred to as a fox while wearing it.
