Happy 5th Birthday to the Talking Simpsons Network!

Good news, everyone! As of today, the Talking Simpsons Network is now five years old! On June 16, 2017—nearly a month after quitting our day jobs—we launched this Patreon account; we were optimistic, but not really sure if we could survive in the Bay Area on crowdfunding alone. Well, thanks to patrons, guests, artists, and other contributors, we've put together our own little empire built on sensible opinions, obscure facts, and impassioned rants. (Not bad when you consider our little network spent half of its life in the COVID era.)
To celebrate the occasion, we've enlisted Nina Matsumoto to update our banner art to accurately reflect our aging bodies, as well as everything we've produced since mid-2017. We haven't had much time to reflect, but to date we've posted about 750 podcasts to the Patreon alone! To put it lightly, we feel incredibly privileged to have been full-time podcasters for the last half-decade, and we're doing everything we can to make sure things stay that way.
So thanks again for all of your support! This network has been absolutely life-changing for both of us, and we can't wait for you to hear what's coming between now and the time podcasting is no longer profitable. (Just kidding—we know this will be the only viable form of entertainment by 2030.)

They’ve gotten me through many a grueling work shift or tedious school project. You guys do incredible research and provide so much more insight than your average animation YouTuber or podcaster. I was looking for podcasts about the Simpsons back in 2018 and out of all of them, you guys are the ones I stuck with. I don't listen to a lot of podcasts anymore, maybe they change, or I change, but yours is consistently entertaining, and a highlight of my week. Your voices got me through a shitty job, an abusive relationship, and losing a cat. I've had to cull a lot of subscriptions to get by, but yours is never on the table. I'd drop Netflix before I drop you guys. My 10 dollars a month is well spent, and I can't wait for another 5 years of podcasts! <3
