Paid Posts
Added 2025-02-15 07:00:09 +0000 UTCHello Patrons 💖 Recently, Patreon rolled out paid posts which allows for individual posts to be sold at a set price. This doesn't affect your membership but allows for non-subscribed Patrons to purchase posts.
This is something I've thought of implementing for the side stories in general - I'll likely separate and bundle the stories per RO and do a paid post for each new story going forward.
Before I decide to do this, would any of you have an issue - would you prefer these stories to remain a Patron-only benefit so that only subscribed Patrons can access the stories or would you be okay for these stories to be offered as a paid option for those who can't afford to become a subscribed member but are willing to pay for specific stories?
The pricing as it stands will be as follows:
$3 for any general RO/NPC story
$3.5 for any NSFW story

EDIT: Patreon does not allow me to sell posts for less than $3 so I've adjusted the prices accordingly.

It will work the same for normal Patrons - you'll still get a randomised/alternative story each month but for the paid posts, each story will have a set price so that anyone (free members, non-Patrons and the general public) can buy those stories as a separate download (I'm still going to post it on itch.io but also make it available as a PDF on Patreon). The bundles will only be available on Steam once the full game is ready - I'll be editing the current stories and commissioning book covers so it'll be available to buy as an 'actual' book with a collection of stories.

Specifically with Cyre+Vinia tiers since you mentioned bundling things by RO, and the RO who's short stories are given to those tiers tends to rotate each month. Would the current set up be re-organized or are you just going to make the bundles with all the new content going forward? (I imagine Ishari Tier doesn't need to change much since they were getting everything anyway 😅)

2025-02-15 13:56:54 +0000 UTCThere's additional checks for uploading DLCs etc on Steam, so I'm likely going to do two separate story DLCs - one with all non-NSFW content and one with NSFW content so you'd be unable to purchase the stories individually. But this is a good point to mention - thank you 🌸

2025-02-15 08:57:13 +0000 UTCi dont have a problem with that. but if you are planning to release the short story as DLC/additional content one the game is fully done, i would atleast mention this. so people can either buy the stories now or later, but dont have to live with fomo.
