Yes she was stressed about AJ and wanted to try and help him and yes she wouldn’t shut up about it. But you have to think, Tony doesn’t care much. He blows things off or defends Ajs behavior a lot. Gives him gifts. Carmella found a guy who she thought cared about her and that maybe this guy would listen since Tony doesn’t. She was telling her friend and the priest how much she liked the guy. She was very taken aback when he told her why they were breaking it off. She was genuinely hurt and crying. now she knows she can never escape Tony’s rep or being stuck with him and being unhappy.

If they didn’t get in a car wreck, it would have been highly possible they would have slept together. I would not put it past Tony. Think about what his shrink said. She said don’t put yourself in those situations so you are not tempted. So what does he do? Go to the club and hang out with Adrianna. Tickling her waist when they were playing darts and ready to go get drugs with her at 2am. High percentage he would have, given the opportunity. Hence why every single person in his life assumed it. Your past actions dictate your future behaviors a lot.

It's got that classic epic drama like the sopranos, but without action since it's about business in the 1950s-1970s. The same writer and producer of sopranos did it. So it will seem oddly familiar in the style. Super engaging. At least that's how it was for me... don't know if anybody else is a fan. But it's a must see I would recommend to anyone.

He was a gangster his whole life... and maybe Tony S. always knew that and saw how it played out with him as a civilian, but deep down he knew it wouldn't last.

Every time Carmella and the guy were together, she wouldn’t shut up about AJ. Wasn’t sexy at all. He lost it when she asked him to talk to colleges about AJ’s ADD. He did the things himself, but he realized he did it because he wanted her and she kept asking for things every time. So he wanted to stop.

Yes you can make some easy scores and live the highlife for a while, but you have to hustle just to make a middle class living, and give 10 percent of what you earn/steal up to the boss. And if the boss thinks you are undereporting your eanings/thefts, you may get a stern warning or a bullet to the head. Or if you are doing an excellent hustle with substantial returns, the boss may take over that hustle and you end up with the 10 percent while the boss takes the rest and you do all the work. That is why mobsters ended up killing each other, over muscling in on each other's business. In some periods, mobsters had tacit approval to run their hustles by law enforcement, as long as they got their cut, and no civilians were hurt. They could kill each other as much as they want but do not hurt a civilian or law enforcement will be forced to crack down on them. Do not do business with mobsters, because then you are not a civilian anymore.

He’s been more free-wheeling since he’s on his own and genuinely wanted some excitement of getting the coke. I think the bigger point is that Tony is genuinely hurt that everyone would believe he would do that. He’s getting treated worse for not cheating, while he’s separated, so much more than when was ACTUALLY cheating and married.

There was a culmination of things- The stress of passing his exam, the pressure of living up to the potential Mr. Kim saw in him, and the anxiety of opening a new business with Mr. Kim as his partner. It added up, and Tony B. snapped. He self-sabotaged, collapsing under the rigors of civilian life and succumbing to the temptation of being a wise guy again. He tried so hard to go straight and make something of himself, and at the moment of truth, he said screw it- I want to be a mafioso again. Forget busting my hump for this nickel and dime crap. On top of that, all of his old mob associates had been razzing him from the moment he got out of jail and said he wanted to fly straight and be a massage therapist. So he decides it's not what he wants, takes out his misplaced frustration on Mr. Kim and ruining his business venture in the process- deliberately- so now he can fall back into his old life.
