Tug of War 73.2

The festival audience wasn't that large. There were, at most, thirty or forty people in front of the small stage located in a beautiful field. It didn't discourage Tiffany and the rest of the band, though. They always gave their all on stage, as if they were at their last concert. The setlist, like every night, was composed of original songs along with classics of folk and rock.

Tiffany was wearing a charming light blue floral dress with bell-bottom sleeves, and lace-up wedge heels; her hair was styled in soft curls that flowed down her left shoulder, and her makeup was soft but graceful, with light brown and pink eye shadow, kitten eyeliner and pink lips, matching her nails, which were now a little shorter so she could play her old acoustic guitar; the other members were also wearing floral clothes, in line with the concept and name of the group.

Some of their songs were already known by some people, but the huge hype about Tiffany was already calming down. News gets old very fast on the internet, and soon people are talking about something else. However, Tiffany still had a large number of followers, and continued to be considered an icon of the trans movement.

The young woman also used a big part of her inheritance to fund support groups for transgender people expelled from home and victims of violence, which made her feel good, knowing that she was helping, however little, to make the world a fairer and more inclusive place. This had always been what she had dreamed of doing, after all.

The concert was one of the best of The Wandering Flowery Hearts, with the band seeming particularly inspired that late afternoon. The audience reacted with more and more enthusiasm as time went on, and the energy was contagious. They ended the show with a sequence of songs that started with "Simple Like Love", the first song Tiffany and Martin had written together and presented for the first time at the Miss Charming Beauty Contest; followed by a version of "God Only Knows" by The Beach Boys in which Martin played a ukulele, an instrument he was also getting very good at; and, finally, an emotional version of "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles.

When Tiffany played the last chord on her guitar, the audience erupted in excited applause and whistles. The concert had been a huge success for sure. However, despite all the joy, Tiffany was still a little troubled about something... she just couldn't understand it.
