What did we do this week? (Jun 17th 2021)

Fei : It's been a tiring month, I've moved to a new home with many problems to fix, water leaks, broken walls, broken this and that, repainted all the walls, cleaned the house, probably breathed some dead cockroaches poops, organized my new life, yaddi yadda.

I still worked very hard on Neon Tail nonetheless. I've added many small cutscenes that I believe will bring an emotional layer to the players while increasing the feeling of a world full of life.

I've added crepes as a consumable saving item, a cutscene where Ruby and Optrellian eat Crepes together, a cutscene where Ruby and Natixta have a good laugh, I rewrote some of the cosmetic management code, and saving system code.

I fixed the shop screen bug that my new code generated, I fixed and cleaned my toilets in real life, I finished Optrellian's mission.

I've recorded 2 new Optrellian's ghost files, and 3 Natixta's ghost files. I tweaked Ruby's portraits so she looks way cuter. :3

I wrote the new mission for Natixta.

這是個累人的一個月,我搬到新家,有許多問題要解決,漏水,毀損的牆壁,這個、那個,重新把所有牆壁粉刷,掃除,可能吸入蟑螂的糞便,整理我的新家生活,哩哩叩叩。

儘管如此,我仍然非常努力製作霓虹之尾。我新增了許多小過場動畫,我相信它們會給玩家帶藍情感層面,同時讓整個世界充滿生機。

新增了可麗餅作為消耗品的保存道具,露比與奧崔利恩一起吃可麗餅、露比與娜媞斯塔開懷大笑的過場動畫。我重寫了一些裝飾品的管理程式碼,並且保存入系統程式。

修復了因為新的程式碼所產生的商店螢幕錯誤,也修復了現實世界中的我家廁所。完成了奧崔利恩的任務。

錄製了2個新的奧崔利恩以及3個娜媞斯塔的幽靈動畫文件。調整了露比的肖像,讓他看起來更可愛 :3

Leo : This month I spent a lot of time on adding more details in the new area so that it doesn't feel so empty. Things like trees, weeds on the sides of the streets, garbage dumps, street vendors, seats, street lamps, fire hydrants and other sundries on sidewalk, even vehicles parking on the side of the road. They can make the whole area Colorful and can be obstacle, it's part of the level design also

. After I finish this, I will keep doing the other parts of the level design, like using some grind colliders to connect the whole area. Well, that's another work that will be killing my brain.

這個月我花了很多時間補上場景中的細節部分,像是路旁的樹木,雜草,或是堆積在人行道的垃圾堆,攤販,座椅,路燈,消防栓以及其他的雜物,甚至是停放在路邊的車輛。他們不只可以豐富場景,也可以起到障礙物的作用,算是關卡設計的一部分。在完成了這個部分之後,我會繼續進行關卡設計的其他部分,開始使用各種滑行軌道將各個區域連接起來,這又是另一個讓我傷透腦筋的環節。


Yang : It's been a hard time for me recently. My grandma passed away last month. 

It was a good memory, every weekend I played Sega Mega drive and Super Nintendo with my younger cousins and then ate food she cooked, and it's delicious! I'll be missing her.

On the other hand, I'm designing a side mission that tries to guide players to meet Toast in a fun way.

最近對我來說很難過,上個月我的阿嬤過世了。那些美好的時光,每周末與表弟玩著Sega Mega drive與超任,然後吃她煮的食物,好吃極了,我會懷念她的。

另一方便,我開始著手設計一個之線任務,利用有趣的方式導引玩家去第一次遇到吐司的觸發地點。大家下次見!
