2025-08-15 13:12:46 +0000 UTCThis has no bearing anymore since you guys are done with Kai 1.0 but Seed of Might today literally just released a version of DBZ Kai Episodes 1-98 that include both the Japanese Dub, the English Dub, with both Kikuchi and Yamamoto score, (you can choose from your liking) and an array of subtitle styles, including that of dubtitles (which not even most official releases of the show have). Obviously like I said, this hardly matters now, but just something incredibly funny considering the timing. I do recommend torrenting their Kai the Final Chapters remaster, if you do indeed choose to go along with the Sumitomo score, since it fixes a good number of things. For example, it brightens up the image and gets rid of a really nasty green-turquoise hue the official release has. It also takes out a really weird echoey sort of muffled dissonance that you can hear from the sound effects and some of the character's voices (the narrator is the main one that comes to mind).

This episode was a great way to tie off those loose ends and finish up what Dr Gero started. Trunks isn't on Gohan's power level, but he's more than capable enough to save his future from its dark fate. Goku's still being goku - just in the afterlife, and things are looking bright. I'm glad you guys reacted to this show.

Db is a series that means a lot to me personally and emotionally, moreso the manga and jp versions but Kai matters to me a lot as well. It’d led me to do so much research on both Toriyama and eastern culture. I’ve learned so many tidbits of info on the background behind dragonball and what influenced Toriyama. Ik to some it’s a dumb cartoon (and they aren’t necessarily wrong), but for me it’s taught numerous valuable life lessons

2025-08-14 16:46:38 +0000 UTCNever paid much attention to the trunks theme as a kid but i really like it hearing it now, im excited for the buu arc because i do not remember watching the buu arc in kai at all, so i will be in the same boat, it would be worth reacting to gt, some parts are good, but super is better in my opinion, but both good. Gohans transformation for me, im new and loving the reactions and im actually watching kai for once through you guys and i actually like it

2025-08-14 16:10:07 +0000 UTCThe background music during Trunks vs. Androids is from the band Dream Theater and the song is called “Scene Six: Home.”it’s in the English dub intro for the History of Trunks special. I want to say I joined right around the beginning of the Namek Saga or a bit earlier. We’re almost done with Kai which is nuts. The thing that makes me laugh is knowing that in OG Z, this is still the Namek Saga due to the filler and pacing being much slower lmao.
