2022-01-14 07:25:06 +0000 UTCWow, Jaune just messed up big time by giving Blake those books. Itβs like giving her a big glowing sign saying (books out of this world). If you know where to look it becomes apparent that the world view of the author of said books is completely different than the people of remnant, specially ones that are biased on earth since it would have humans on a global scale and not once will grim or hunters be brought up, which is like pirates or marines not being a thing in stories of the One Piece world, or Ninja and Samurai being a thing in stories in Naruto. And that is without even mentioning how everything works without Dust. I expected Blake to be brought into the secret soon (probably before Yang) specially when Pyrrha realises that he basically revealed a lot of literature that would have been impossible to exist within a vacuums of a small village, specially if Blake looks for the other volumes on her own.

2022-01-14 06:24:43 +0000 UTCSO, this chapter has me torn. on one hand, a chapter like this, just pure downtime, no major plots, no huge action, just pure character interaction and development, is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. on the other hand, the episodic nature of the release schedule, makes a chapter like this an extreme disappointment. if this chapter had already ben out when i had begun to read, i would have absolutely ZERO issues with it. it was a good wholesome bit of interaction between two characters that desperately needed it. But it wasn't out. and I DO have issues with it. none of the issues are groundbreaking, or world shattering. but as an early access tier patron, this chapter left me entirely unfulfilled. But, I realize that asking for that feeling of "EPIC" or cliffhanger resolution every time is unreasonable. I think, the only solution I can reasonably see (and its mildly unreasonable in its own right) is to shorten the release time between chapters of DR if you release a big downtime chapter like this one. I know, that is borderline satirical in nature as a request ("Chapter was shit! work faster slave!Q!!!11" ) but it was meant to be taken seriously, and stated from a position of mild frustration. of the fics you are currently running, your twin fics DR & MHA are the ones that actually have my interest, and I typically find the patron cost worth it for those two alone. but this chapter left me wanting. Sorry. Hopefully my feedback was in some form useful, and I'm eagerly waiting for more.
