Weekly Rant : Orchid Mantis, Home Interiors, and Ice Caves - June 5th, 2024
Added 2024-06-05 08:29:00 +0000 UTCWith the story update taking up a bunch of time over several updates, I wanted to take a few days and knock out some other stuff that's been hanging around for a while. Mind you, the story update is still on track to be update 0.3.01, nothing's changed there.
Orchid Mantis just got her prerelease art finished this week. That's all art except for the events themselves. With that done, all the VIP work from the old VIP Tier is finished. Girls still need events like I said before, but those don't require me to collaborate heavily with anyone outside the team. It's a massive amount of stress off my shoulders.
I also did a bit of map work during those few days as well. The house interiors for the water area, Cumminsville, are done. Just need to add the npcs, which is actually best left for later since half the npcs would end up being placeholders for girls that aren't created yet. Not the most exciting stuff, I know, but here's a preview of the barn in any case. A little barren feeling since there's no girls in there though.
The other area that got done was an ice cave. We have one monster who needed a cold section to be put in somewhere for her, and apparently, there's some natural phenomenon where if a desert is cold enough an ice cave can exist. We rolled with that instead of putting in some large area that would require even more work. and probably feel out of place. The second section of the ice cave is censored since it has some story stuff in there that I don't want known yet.
