Hi there! One thing I’ve always wished for in The Sims is the ability to send Love Letters (or just Letters) using the 'Mailbox' object exclusively. This would allow Sims to send heartfelt messages to romantic interests, friends, or even rivals, bringing a more immersive, period-appropriate way to communicate across lots—especially for historical, medieval, or fantasy save files where computers and smartphones feel out of place. To make it more interactive, the mod could include a "tone"/moodlet option to select in the pie menu, before writing a letter, such as: ❤️ Flirty 💌 Romantic 🥰 Affectionate 😉 Playful (romantic) 😉 Playful (friendly) 😊 Friendly 😡 Mean 😢 Sad 😍 Fanatical – For fan letters to celebrity bards in fantasy/medieval save files or pop stars and idols/movie stars in Y2K/more modern save files. The idea being, after selecting which "tone" to write the letter in, reading the letter could influence the recipient Sim’s reaction with a corresponding moodlet/buff—For instance, flirty and romantic letters could boost the romance bar, friendly and affectionate letters could enhance friendships, while mean letters might cause a decline in both relationship bars. Selecting 'Fanatical Fan Mail' could give the celebrity recipient a 'Confident' moodlet, or so. This idea was inspired by a mod called Customizable Postcard Sending by NerdyDoll. However, it has a 30-character limit and preset modern postcard designs. I’d love to see something similar, but with the freedom to input longer custom messages into a textbox, and choose a blank sheet of paper with several color options or styles—like white or beige parchment, lined notebook paper torn from a composition notebook, or aged stationery from different historical periods. I think this could add so much charm and depth to the game! I appreciate all the amazing work you do. 😊 Cheers!
