If we’re talking regions, he did technically carry over his Pokemon to Orange Islands and Johto. Then again, Johto is basically Kanto 2.0

Honestly, ever since you lost interest in the original Pokemon, I was tempted to request you to react to XY. You should at least give the other seasons a shot by watching to first two episodes as well. You don't really need context for at least the first two episodes. The only one that might need slight context is Diamond and Pearl, only because he caught a Pokemon literally like a few episodes before the ending of the last season. And this was the only time besides Pikachu that he carried a Pokemon to a new region.
