[WOTD] Rachel redesign - Part 1: Concept

This marks the beginning of the redesign process for our favorite rebellious girl, Rachel. In this post, I’ll try to describe as best as I can my thoughts and plans for the new Rachel.

First, we need to look at and describe Rachel’s original design.

She’s a rebellious and playful girl, but also quite friendly. She doesn’t take much seriously and is somewhat irresponsible. Clyde meets her when she’s in trouble for stealing the wallet of a guy she met at the last party she attended. As they get to know each other better, Rachel falls for him and makes an effort to improve her behavior and outlook on life.

It’s important to highlight that, besides being friends with Alune, Siri, and Asagi (despite having had some differences with the latter), Rachel has a group of friends outside the Academy, consisting of Shannon and Cassidy, with whom she shares a passion for rock and punk music.

As for her original design and appearance, Rachel’s hair was black (as we see in some flashbacks), but it’s currently dyed her characteristic red and green. She has a blue butterfly tattoo on one of her breasts, which holds special meaning for her, though I haven’t revealed that mystery yet.

In terms of physique, Rachel’s height and bust size are quite similar to Alune’s.

For her redesign, I’d like to keep the idea that Rachel is a rocker and punk girl, not a metalhead or goth. I also want her to remain playful and laid-back. However, I want to emphasize her playful side even more. That said, I won’t achieve this by having Rachel pull pranks on Clyde or her friends, but rather through her strong sense of humor and lack of shame. Maybe her humor could be similar to "Deadpool’s," with risqué jokes and mocking both friends and foes.

I’d also like to dive deeper into Rachel’s issues with her mother, as well as her differences with Jill, and eventually reveal important details about her past.

I’ll try to ensure that Rachel doesn’t have an aggressive expression—meaning she won’t have a “don’t mess with me” look. But I also don’t want her to appear goofy or sloppy.

I might draw some inspiration from characters like Marin Kitagawa. I really like her eyelashes and mischievous expression. That said, Marin is a "gyaru" stereotype, and I don’t want that for Rachel. But, as I mentioned, I might borrow the idea of prominent, pretty eyelashes.

Of course, I’ll keep Rachel’s hair and eye colors, though I’ll probably tweak the shades a bit.

Regarding her physique, I want Rachel to follow the “thicc girl” concept. I plan to widen her thighs, hips, butt, and bust, though I won’t take it to the extreme. As for her height, it will remain the same in relation to the other characters.

During the redesign process for Siri, I forgot to mention that she’s not self-conscious or embarrassed about her breast size, though I think that was clear from some of her new outfits. Well, something similar will happen with Rachel. She’ll be aware that she has quite large and provocative assets, but she really won’t care much about them.

Oh, and something super important is that I plan to add one or two more tattoos to Rachel. Or at least, it’s something I’d like to experiment with. However, like her butterfly tattoo, the new tattoos will be placed in areas of her body that can be covered by her school uniform. I think one of these new tattoos could be on a butt cheek.

For the hair style, or at least the main hairstyle, I'll try to do something like this. I'll make Rachel's hair a little longer. But as I said before, I'll keep the red and green colors.

Este es el comienzo del proceso de rediseño de nuestra chica rebelde favorita, Rachel. En este post intentaré describir lo mejor posible mis pensamientos y planes para la nueva Rachel.

Para empezar, debemos observar y describir el diseño original de Rachel.

Ella es una chica rebelde y bromista, pero también bastante amigable. No suele tomarse nada en serio y es algo irresponsable. Clyde la conoce cuando ella está en problemas por haberle robado la cartera a un chico que conoció en la última fiesta a la que asistió. A medida que ambos se van conociendo mejor, Rachel se enamora de él y hace un esfuerzo por mejorar su comportamiento y su visión de la vida.

Es importante destacar que, además de ser amiga de Alune, Siri y Asagi (a pesar de haber tenido algunas diferencias con esta última), Rachel tiene un grupo de amigas fuera de la Academia, compuesto por Shannon y Cassidy, con quienes comparte su pasión por la música rock y punk.

En cuanto a su diseño y apariencia original, el cabello de Rachel era negro (esto lo vemos en algunos flashbacks), pero actualmente está teñido de rojo (su color característico) y verde. Tiene un tatuaje de una mariposa azul ubicado sobre uno de sus pechos, el cual tiene un significado especial para ella, aunque aún no he revelado ese misterio.

En términos de su fisionomía, la altura de Rachel y el tamaño de sus senos son muy similares a los de Alune.

Para su rediseño, me gustaría conservar la idea de que Rachel es una chica rockera y punk, no metalera o gótica. También quiero que siga siendo bromista y relajada. Eso sí, quiero potenciar aún más su lado bromista. Sin embargo, no lo haré haciendo que Rachel juegue bromas pesadas a Clyde o a sus amigas, sino a través de su humor fuerte y su falta de vergüenza. Quizá su humor podría ser similar al de "Deadpool", haciendo chistes subidos de tono y mofándose tanto de amigos como de enemigos.

Me gustaría profundizar más en los problemas de Rachel con su madre, así como en sus diferencias con Jill, y con el tiempo, revelar detalles importantes sobre su pasado.

Intentaré que Rachel no tenga un semblante agresivo, es decir, que no tenga "cara de pocos amigos". Pero tampoco quiero que tenga un aspecto gracioso o descuidado.

Quizá podría inspirarme en personajes como Marin Kitagawa. Me gustan mucho sus pestañas y su expresión pícara. Eso sí, Marin es un estereotipo de personaje "gyaru", y no quiero eso para Rachel. Pero, como mencioné, quizá adopte la idea de unas pestañas bonitas y prominentes.

Por supuesto, conservaré los colores de cabello y ojos de Rachel, aunque probablemente cambie un poco sus tonalidades.

En cuanto a su fisionomía, quiero que Rachel siga el concepto de "chica thicc". Planeo ensanchar sus muslos, caderas, trasero y pechos, aunque no lo llevaré al extremo. En cuanto a su altura, seguirá siendo la misma en relación con los demás personajes.

Durante el proceso de rediseño de Siri, olvidé mencionar que ella no se acompleja ni se avergüenza del tamaño de sus senos, aunque creo que eso quedó claro con algunos de sus nuevos outfits. Bueno, algo similar ocurrirá con Rachel. Ella será consciente de que tiene atributos bastante grandes y provocativos, pero realmente no les dará mucha importancia.

Ah, y algo súper importante es que planeo añadirle uno o dos tatuajes más a Rachel. O al menos, es algo que me gustaría experimentar. Eso sí, al igual que el tatuaje de la mariposa, los nuevos tatuajes estarán en lugares de su cuerpo que puedan ocultarse bajo su uniforme escolar. Creo que uno de estos nuevos tatuajes podria ser en una nalga.

Para el estilo del cabello, o al menos para el peinado principal, intentaré hacer algo como esto. Alargaré un poco el cabello de Rachel. Pero como dije antes, mantendré los colores rojo y verde.
