"Life" is one of my favorite shows of all-time. Top-10, maybe top-5. *Definitely* top-5 among non-comedies. ... yeah, this episode is probably my least favorite. I don't understand it. I don't get the arc of the husband. It's weird. He's weird. There's other stuff going on that is worthwhile; the guy going "is that poor cop gonna be alright?" Very funny delivery. How he pretended to cower away from Crews when leaving the station is amusing. Good stuff with Crews and his lawyer, the season/series arc stuff is good, but that's definitely my least favorite case. ... I don't understand the stuff with the coyote. I don't know what that is about. I feel like the writers were trying for something symbolic? Like, Crews coming across a coyote in his new car at the end... that's how they END the episode. They want to leave you with that... but why? I don't know. Oh... we're about to ramp it up though, I think. 4 is definitely better, 5 is really good, 6 is even better... then 7 is pretty fun, and 8 is maybe my favorite episode of the show. Best case, for sure. (In season 2, Crews and Reese are split up for a bit, and their relationship is somehow, improbably, even better when that happens. You'll see. I can't wait. I bring it up because that first episode when it happens - s02e16 - might be my favorite. Goddamn it, looking through season 2... fuck season 2 is SO GOOD. Hmm... actually, the best moment of that might be the next ep, 17. Either way, season 2, great great stuff.)
