New Fiction for Writathon

I wanted to enter the Writathon that's going on over at Royal Road, but I had too much Falling with Folded Wings already written (I've got like three months banked beyond what is on Royal Road), so I've started a new, companion fiction. It features a new protagonist who gets to Fanwath via a different means than the colonists - the connection will get explained eventually. So far, I've got five chapters written, and I'm going to publish them on Royal Road once my new title art gets done. I'll post my chapters here first, so you all can get a look and tell me if it's terrible or fun to read :)
